We've lost plenty of Finals over the last decade, came runner up twice, plenty of disappointments along the way, but we haven't had (and in all likelihood will never have) a popular fan video blog like the Arsenal vlog on Youtube that just seems to thrive on Arsenal stumbling over blocks. They've won 3 or 4 FA Cups over the last 5 or so years, been decades since they've finished below 6th, and were consistently in the top 4 for eons, yet it only takes a couple of results to turn on their players, just like they turned on Wenger.
I can't imagine our supporters doing something like that, and it's these sorts of moments that really make me glad i'm a Liverpool supporter. We take so much for granted, these moments are a great time to reflect.
I don't agree with the supporters booing Xhaka, but his response was petulant and unbecoming of a captain. It's not as if he's been booed every single time he's come off the pitch during the season. If that's all it takes for him to turn on his own fans, than why even accept the captaincy? You don't become captain because you want it for yourself, you become captain for others, to lead and be an example, and the supporters are a big part of that.
And not apologising just spacks of a little bit of ego and a large bit of throwing toys out of the pram.
Grow up, apologise and move on. Sheesh, Arsenal have done such a horrid job in picking captains since Viera.
