Well I guess God bless you Bill Shankly is more appropriate, though I'm sure he is now having some good time, drinking bear with Bob, Joe, the rest of LFC legends and all of the 96 in heaven talking about what the cancers have done to our club and how one day we'll return to our former glory.

Even though the man was dead 9 years before I was born, I still regard him as one of all time great men, inside and outside of football.

He made the people happy and loved them truly from his heart.

too young to remember shankly but can't help think that he would make the yanks sell up with just a one liner comment in their direction.

Now more than ever we should remember what this great man stood for, what he strived for and what he achived and join as one to chase these 2 cancers out of our club.
He wouldn't have stood for what is happening at this great club so neither should we.

Man Of The People

You dragged our club out of the doldrums, those barren years in
Division Two.
And every success we’ve ever had since then, we owe it all to you.
You rightly once called Anfield ‘a toilet’, but you turned it into a shrine.
You made the players feel invincible once they crossed that Anfield
white line.

Our football club changed forever the day that you answered our call.
You famously got the team to wear all red that made them look 7 foot
tall.
You wanted only winners in your team, you would not accept the word defeat.
Some fans even called you ‘the messiah’ and threw themselves at your feet!

Shankly unleashed the talent of St John, of Yeats, Keegan and ‘Crazy Horse’
He turned our club around from nothing into a feared, major European force.
He was always ready with his famous ‘one liners’, always on hand with a laugh
and a joke.
But he was never short of respect and grace, and the whole world listened when
he spoke.

They called him a man of the people, and he took the Spion Kop to his heart.
He stood on that famous terrace once, just a regular Kopite playing his part.
And now in these days when true football heroes are very few and far between.
Bill Shankly will be remembered forever, as one the biggest legends the world of
football has ever seen.

A legend, who really built the whole ethos of what this club use to be about. Everybody putting in, working hard, sticking together, and then everyone sharing the plaudits that came with the victory.

About time all we start uniting and fighting the current cancers that are ruining this man's life work. For Shanks let's get our club back. He would not of stood for this neither should we.

Bill Shankly was a man who genuinely deserved to be called one.
