Comfortably the better team over the two legs. I think Arsenal had more red cards than they had shots on target. Excellent performance tonight, pulse was a bit high for a while there but no real need, the boys were in complete control of that.

Diogo Jota, what a player, what a character. I particularly enjoyed the close up of him looking irritated and mouthing “fuck’s sake! What are you doing?” as the camera cut back to Liverpool taking a goal kick short and not quite getting it right.

Depending on your outlook it’s something to look forward to/dread/get anxious about in February.

Wow, brilliant.. First half they tried to press us, it did trouble us a bit, but we sliced through them a couple of times and scored the 1st that pushed them back. They took back their press and we controlled the first half. In the 2nd half again, they tried to start on the front foot, but we sliced them open time and again and should have scored 2 more. But nevertheless, we got the goal at the right time and then it was game over. Our game management and in game adjustment was top notch that reminded me of two years ago. This is a tough Away fixture and it shows what we need to do in the Champions League Away games as well. We need to be able to manage these games well, and tonight was job superbly done.

To be honest I thought it was pretty clearly onside in real time, surprised he flagged. In the end it was close because he was learning, but yes VAR doing its job

To be fair Jota was 2 yards onside. That linesman had to crane his neck around two defenders to see him. Very poor

Incredible performance. Jota, Robertson, Jones, Fabinho, Van Dijk, Trent were all fantastic.

Arteta will get slaughtered for bringing Partey on after just flying in from Cameroon, and rightly so.

In control of the match for most of it. I loved all the taking their time with throw ins, free kicks and goal kicks. That's game management. We face it enough times it's great to see us do it.

Anyone know what time KO is in the final? I'm flying to Malaga that day!

Controlled the game and set the temp after we socred the 1st goal.

Arsenal were lucky we didn't have Mane and Salah, it really would have been 5-6 tonight.

Very controlled second half.

Arsenal seem to try and start quick against us, but then drop back defend and are pretty toothless. But considering the missing players we had, it was an excellent performance.

Great goals by Jota, fantastic assist by Trent for the second.

I think they've improved but fortunate to have some really talented youngsters come through (plus Arteta spending over £200m). Their fans always get carried away though and exaggerate how good they are.
