No one watching this?!

Finale the other day...probably my favourite TV show at the moment...couldn't get into Westworld series 2.

Still watch it. Still enjoy it. Last scene was so odd to what we were used to but was coming for some time now.

Love the two of them being all "well I never had a problem with you personally" as if that were even remotely true.

The final scene is a bit weird as its a rehash of what we saw a few episodes back.

Love how the chuck jeffcoat situation played out. It was really compelling.

I do think they could have left the arcs a little more open for next season.

Great show though

Love the aura Clancy Brown brings to his characters and I am the last to claim I have watched a shit ton of movies and series but has he played another character other than the bady since The Shawshank Redemption?  :D

Not that I don't enjoy watching him in that role mind. He's usually captivating.

Favourite show, just about to watch the season three finale. It has maybe strayed a bit in this season, but still great.

Really enjoyed his character in this season, there was one episode where he was talking to Chuck and all i could hear was Brad Pitt in Inglorious Basterds (obviously the accent but what he was saying and the way he was delivering it!) !!

I echo that.

I'm halfway through Season one and it feels a bit like House of Cards & Narcos, so really fucking good.
It does seem that Damien Lewis borrowed Trumps voice to an extent for the show.

This will keep me going until GOT.

It lost me in the middle of the last season when Wendy resorted to flirting with Mafee. Nah.

I dunno about you, but I certainly have no interest in seeing more of Wendy dressed up in leather bondage gear while holding a whip, etc.

No sirree Bob, hope there's absolutely no shots of that this season.

Brilliant episode this week. At least 100% more throwaway pop culture references than usual, including one humdinger from Wags.

Think I might bin it.

I kept watching it mainly for the rivalry between Rhoades with Axelrod. Now they are pals it's all turned to be a bit meh. Bobby wants to floor Mason, we get it but the series wants to remind you in every episode.

Next season he may find a new guy to rival and feed off or even clash with Chuck again. Rhoades is either in power or powerless. Whatever it is, seemingly does not last long and feels like it's rinse and repeat.

All I'm saying is I gather there is no end in sight and they might be repeating a certain pattern.

Plus it is a big minus imo that its main character i a scumbag with no redeeming qualities.

I'm getting to that point too.  There are not any characters with redeeming qualities, as you say Chuck (and Axe) both seem to be down and out and then one call/bluff and they are back on top again at the expense of a bunch of people.  I get that is maybe the point and the moral ambiguity is part of it but it's so cartoonish at this point.

That part reminds me of the Ozarks...they are about to be discovered or caught but then someone does something and it's all taken care of

The pop culture references for me have become tiresome, I know its a writing style and part of the 'fabric' of the show but its starting to get overused for me.  I don't believe in Wags as a character either.  He'll always be Gale from Breaking Bad.  They are as bad as Chucks 'There was once a man who did something and he learned this lesson' analogies (or is it metaphors)
Liverpool is the pool of life.

Forgot to mention at the time that despite it is full of pop culture references, I didn't really expect Cory Chase to be mentioned. Kudos to Wags, I guess...  :P

The latest episode I watched referred to someone being "as loyal as John McCain in a Hanoi Hilton"  ;D  Nearly spat my coffee out. The references are OTT in some episodes, but in others there's just the right amount and they nail it. Not that I get every one of course!
