Fucking hell Dejan Lovren was very good tonight.

What fucking planet are we on?
Don't think he's performing that much better than before, just not being forced to defend into wide areas which is where he's uncomfortable and would eventually make a mistake. Let him defend through the middle and he's fine.

@DeludedBendan

I'm glad I gave Klopp the right tools to do the job.

It's like building 100 floors of a sky scraper and then letting him finish the roof

To be fair to the man he did create "The Group", he just lost the plot.

The poor lads made a huge mistake today, getting their heads all big like by foolishly stomping a good team away like that. 1-6 on the road with a favourable draw and a weak team coming up......these boys are for the Chopper in practice for the bad start to the game. They are bitterly gonna regret that. Bitterly.  ;D  Jurgens not looking for any slippage at the weekend.

Great game though, eh.  We just steamrolled them Randall did well. Smith did well. Origi got 3. Ibe got a beauty to quicken the beat. Youth will be served. Well in.

Origi's confidence improved with each goal he scored. Looks like he has everything a striker needs.

Young, gifted and... wearing black.

Winning the Capital one cup and finishing 4th in the league would be a good result, but I think we can probably do better than that.

If I was Jurgen Klopp i'd be telling the lads that this would be the minimum acceptable from this season.  Reach for the moon and all that.......

To be fair to the man he did create "The Group", he just lost the plot.
In his last few weeks he was manager he was without Benteke, Sturridge, Firmino and Henderson. Anyone would miss those players. Results under Klopp didn't pick up until Benteke and Firmino were fit.

Fuck me.

Shit start - thought we were in for a torrid night, but after that. Fuck me.

Support was immense, team was immense. Original showed that he does have what it takes and amazing to see Studge make his seasons appearance and score again (two belters as well)

Loved watching that fat c*nt Koeman's face drop more and more as the night wore on. So much for mental fragility when we concede. Happy with the draw as well - be amazing to have an all Merseyside Derby wouldn't it?!

Let's rip the barcodes a new one as well on Sunday, but tonight... Fuck me sideways. Wow. Just... Wow

And LOVED Klopps after match interview. This guy is just utterly without equal. Let's hope it continues.

What was good was that we were never deflated after being 1-o down after a minute.

Best performance under Klopp and that includes City and Chelsea.

Masterful.

Anyone notice Emre Can trying to smash the ball back into the net after Ibe's goal? Instead he smashes the crossbar from a yard out. Impressive stuff.

Also, I didn't realise what massive weapons the Southampton fan base is. Full on hatred for players who just bettered their careers and left what looked like a sinking ship.

In all fairness, it should be Remembered that we did play some amazing football under Brendan as well and he has to take some credit for bringing the players you saw tonight to the club in the first place.

What a performance!

So many positives to take from that, you hardly know where to start, but having Sturridge back is the most important one. He really transformes our attack, and his first goal, which only he scores in our squad, turned the game around.

Origi looked excellent too, and not just for the goals. His touch and control is very, very good, and there's nothing wrong with his awareness either. Great run for his second, and superb hold up play and pass before Ibe's goal.

Ibe's cameo was really good as well, and Randall did ok after a tough start. Smith didn't look out of place either, but of course the game was over by that stage. Still nice to have a few options at fullback.

Also liked the formation, and that we made it work so well despite not playing it under Klopp before. Think it really helped Origi, as the pressure on him as a lone striker is much bigger. Can't wait for the next game.
