I personally think both Ox and Naby are pencilled in for regular /substantial starts for next season

I think he may get at least a couple more starts this year, Newcastle and Huddersfield would be my guess. Maybe Porto away if we can get a decent margin between us tomorrow.

I reckon Naby will start quite a few more games this season.

Porto home, Cardiff away, Newcastle away, Huddersfield home and possibly Wolves home.

Ox will probably get a few minutes run out if we're 3+ goals up in the second half against Huddersfield.

Porto away is next week, there's zero chance Ox starts that.

According to Neil Jones, Ox participated in a closed door game yesterday against Bury, playing for an hour without incident.

I wouldn't be surprised if Naby starts most games unless he needs a rest. He's definitely our most creative midfielder at the moment who plays higher up the field and is good between the lines. Given he started the last two, he might be rested against Chelsea, but I think he'll start Porto away and every single one of the remaining league games.

I have been keeping an eye on this thread and the injuries update thread but am a little lost as to the current situation with AOC being available for first team selection anytime soon. What is the latest news on him perhaps being on the bench in the next week or two ?

At the moment with an almost fully fit squad I’d imagine it’s doubtful we see him in the next few squad but it doesn’t sound like he’s far away now he’s playing in practice matches.

Realistically probably next season for him now. Having been out for that long I can’t see him coming back before the end of the season.   If we have the league won before we play Wolves I could see him getting a few minutes on the pitch but other than that, get a good pre-season behind him and be back for August.

I personally wouldn’t mind betting we’d see him on the bench for at least one game, and potentially get a few mins if the result is in the bag, if for no other reason than to give him a bit of a moral boost for all the hard work he’s put in to get back.

I know not entirely relevant to the thread but fucking hell lovren hasn't had the best luck with injuries this year has he.
3 midfielders minimum in the next window. And probably another young CB to boot.

Anything else is negligent.

Thanks for the updates everyone.

Craig - I am hoping that this can happen. It would be a big boost to everyone even though we are all already riding on a high. It will also keep players on their toes !

He looked sharp.

Unlucky not to score either.

Our midfield options are brilliant for the rest of the season and next season with Hendo back as a 8, Fabinho, Keita , Milner , Gini and Ox.

Klopp saying that there's going to be odd appearances for him as he gets back up to speed. Good to see him back on the pitch.

When he got injured last season it felt like it took a little bit out of us because it was so serious an injury. This season he's given us a massive lift just coming back onto the pitch. I'm so pleased for him.

Maybe I'm getting soft in my old age, but totally agree with you. He seems a really sound bloke, and to suffer like that must be horrible.
