Nope, more like 1k and even then a lot of people bulk at the price. Having been through the process, it’s existing people and their friends and people with contacts that get tickets. Existing ST holders get priority and then if any left it goes to the “list".

I’ll be amazed if it’s that high. We joined the waiting list a couple of years ago and a few weeks later got offered one as someone hadn’t returned their contract in time.

Exactly the club know a season in advance what's available. And if you time it right you get it.

I asked the club why the ST queue is still down for maintenance. It has been months now with no update to where I am in the queue.

Their response is below...

"Unfortunately, the season ticket waiting list is still under maintenance at the moment, please be assured that it is under maintenance as we are getting rid of duplicates and those who are no longer interested so it is for your benefit.

Completing the clean up process is our main priority after the NFC queries have lessened.

All updates will be on our website or you will be contacted.

Thank you for your continued support over the years

I thought the whole point of paying the fiver to stay on it years ago was to clean it up and get rid of duplicates and people no longer interested?!

Duplicates might be people who've got them through the fan update and I've no idea how the not interested thing will work without contacting everyone again.

Though didn't we do that fiver thing about 15 years ago?

So they said, but it was to actually make a proper waiting list.

Prior to that, the waiting list was a load of applications stuffed into a drawer. Considering it was okay to have duplicate season tickets in your name back then, I image there's quite a lot of dup's. And it'd be good to be able to open the list back up again so todays kids can sort their future grand children out.

I think there’s all sorts of shenanigans going on with that list. Think there are people that have been on it less time than me but will get one before me for sure.
Wouldn’t be surprised to even be told I’m no longer on the list.

I'm very concerned about our ticket office being left to "clean up" the list...

I'm ready to have been accidentally wiped off the record...

Exactly this. the list will never go down when a ticket is passed from generation to generation. It may start to move in the coming years now after the fan update

My old man went on in June 2001, he is still waiting. I went on the list in Feb 2001 and I got mine 3 seasons ago.

Mine was one of many lost when they went from notepads to computers in the mid to late 90s. I'm currently around 20k I reckon now, too depressing to check!

2017 - 6987
2018 - 6887 (moved 100 places)
2019 - 6793 (moved 94 places)
2020 - 4263 (moved 2530 places)

I just messaged the LFC Help twitter account and asked how long the ST waiting list is going to remain closed for maintenance. They replied saying that I "must register each account who I wish to purchase tickets for and if I only register myself, I will only be eligible if no one else is" so that was helpful.

The long term lack of comms and transparency with the waiting list is poor by the club and should be challenged. Clearly though they are not willing to update the average fan and this should be escalated to SOS. Wasn't there a fan liaison for ticketing at one point? This is something they should be definitely be questioning.

I know, I know, I was one of the one's who was written on a fag packet and ended up tagged on the end when they did the db update. I've contacted the club about it a few times and they said they can't (won't) do anything about it. My original place when the db appeared was 25k.

Someone on here said years ago if I could find the letter of my confirmation on the list that they'd adjust it, but I've moved at least 8 times since so I've no idea where it is. I joined it when I got my fan card buying a ticket for the Monaco CL game in Sept 2004.
