Linesmen not putting flags up early is still one of the most annoying things for me in the game. When I was watching Van Dijk this lunch time having to run back and cover when it was so obviously offside but as usual it's a delayed flag. How many players will end up with pulled hamstrings this season? Just put the flag up and take a decision.
Especially when they’re clearly offside. I understand them not flagging if it’s tight, but we’ll end up with more injuries because of the stupid rule.
Not sure how much of a view the linesman had with the ball going out on this as pickford had his back to him and would have been blocking the view, but you’d think in this day and age it wouldn’t be difficult to use technology for the ball going out like we have for the goal line.
