it'll pick up in the run up to the game. still two days before the game

with the week we had it was to be expected

I think given where everyone's head is - somewhere in outer space - this one's going to creep up on us, and it still has the outside potential to be the biggest party of all.
3 midfielders minimum in the next window. And probably another young CB to boot.

Anything else is negligent.

No, no, no. Would rather Stevie Wonder play there. Awful at defending and not much better going forward either.  Gomez or Milner there for me.

I've read that if Robertson doesn't make it, Milner is likely to replace him.

Logical thing to do. Milner, Gomez, fella from dole queue then Moreno should be the order for Sunday.

I have 100% belief that we will win. Not so much belief in other teams.

It's a day to enjoy though, the whole team has been amazing all season. Our best premier league team by fucking miles. They just need the trophies now.

The way this week has gone anything is possible, full strength team no room for Moreno he isnt good enough , win the game then get the news filter through that Glenn Murray is taking a penalty in the 93rd min to win the game at Brighton

Klopp quotes from the press conference via EnriqueMuller on Reddit - https://www.reddit.com/r/LiverpoolFC/comments/bmw73x/klopp_quotes_from_the_wolves_prematch_press/
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EuiXQRFUODk

"It was a week of miracles, of big football moments, and from our point of view, if there could be another big moment on the weekend that would be nice!"

Klopp: "It's still difficult to become champion. The only thing we can do is win our game. Wolves have showed the whole year that they have enjoyed their football."

“Nuno is doing an incredible job there, and that makes our game pretty difficult."

Klopp: "Brighton, I know this team are full of joyful footballers and they will try everything."

Klopp: "We reached the final because of our desire, and for Tottenham it was the same."

Klopp: "The big clubs in England want to stay in Europe with all they have. The rest of England doesn't want that!”

Klopp on injuries:

"The famous words in the dressing room this week, for everyone, is 'it's only pain'. Hendo said it, Robbo said it, but it was real pain. They should be fine.

"Firmino, not for the weekend. Mo looked good. He was running outside and will be part of training."

Klopp: "Tuesday was one of the best moments in football history, not just Liverpool. But now it's about Sunday. Wolves will want to show that they are not passengers. We need to be ready."

Klopp: "You would have needed a hammer to knock the smiles off the faces after Tuesday night!"

Klopp takes a dig at the international scheduling which sees the Nations League finals take place five days after the CL final. "If we don't learn to look after these players, then it is the only chance to kill this wonderful game."

"If we scheduled the PL like this we would be surprised every weekend "

Klopp says he's had "as much sleep as I need" since Tuesday.

"I can sleep pretty well, but as everyone else in my age group knows, the only problem is you wake up three times every night as well!"

Klopp: "The difference between City, us and the other teams who are not worse quality wise, was consistency. It's really rare."

Klopp: "It's all about the performance of the boys. I could be the most funny guy in the world, but if the boys don't get results then nobody would laugh at my jokes."

Klopp asked if Sunday will be the last time Sturridge and Moreno play at Anfield:"We will see. Are both out of contracts? It’s possible [this is their last game]. We will see.

“I don’t talk about contracts even if they finish after the season.

“It’s not the time for these things. The only important thing is the players we know and we know, not the rest of the world.”

Klopp on CL final tickets:

"Travel agencies and hotels are not silly, obviously. With Madrid, it is unbelievably expensive, but at least it's not another part of the world. How can you have finals in Kyiv and Baku?"

Klopp talks about Liverpool fans listening to the commentary from Brighton: “We should not celebrate Brighton until they are 3-0 up with 88 minutes gone!

Klopp talks about the incredible mentality of his players: "What makes them giants? The readiness to deal with any difficulty in a game. That consistency is the hardest thing in life. That was the biggest step we have taken."

“This is a special group of players - that's why we have 94pts."

Klopp on Spurs:

"It was brilliant, congratulations to Poch and what Ajax did is brilliant. In the final, the two teams are the teams with the biggest hearts. The most talented group, age-wise, were in the semi-final...Ajax."

Klopp has spoken some more about his relationship with the club: “The relationship between us has got better and better and better.

“Our experiences, how we dealt with moments when it was not that beautiful, the boys did a consistent job.

“Being consistent is the most difficult thing in a footballer’s life. There are a lot of good footballers out there but to be consistent week-in, week-out is really difficult.

“How can we get 94 points until this point with having a random bunch of players?

“We don’t have that. We have a really special group.”

Mainly good news on the injury front ahead of Sunday then (and in Bobby’s case it sounded hopeful for the final).

Still have to believe something magical is gonna happen, no matter how slight the chances.

One last brave effort from the boys, get the 3 points, hope for the best from the south coast, and then some well deserved rest before the build up to the final.

What a fucking season this has been

You’d imagine Salah replaces Shaqiri and Wijnaldum comes in for probably Milner if everyone’s fit, those would most likely be the only changes I’d have thought

To be honest, apart from 3 point I also hope for a clean sheet (Golden Golves for Allison) , No injury (Obviously) , A couple of goals for Mane or Salah (So either one grab Golden Boot), at least one assist for Robbo (in case he play, so he will has most assist as a full-back ever in any Prem season). How is the race for Most Assist BTW? Any chance we can seal this award as well?

Sunday’s game against Manchester City will be Brighton captain Bruno’s final match of his career.

Albion’s Spanish skipper has made the decision to retire, ending his seven-year playing career with Albion — although it is hoped El Capitan will retain his association with Albion in a non-playing capacity.

Manager Chris Hughton said: “To put it simply, Bruno has been outstanding - for the club and also for me personally. He’s been an outstanding player, an outstanding professional and is an outstanding person.

“He was already a legend here when I arrived as manager, and what he has done since then has been instrumental in our progress as a football club.

“He has been a key figure in our promotion to the Premier League, and in our two seasons at that level too. He is 38, playing in the best league in the world, but his performances have belied his age.

“Personally and on behalf of the football club, I would like to thank Bruno and wish him well for the next chapter.”

Brighton legend and El Capitan Bruno will be playing his last game against Man City this weekend. Surely his team will do their utmost to give him a proper send off! Perhaps a last minute winner from Bruno himself!

In a hotel bar in Shenzhen just off my flight from Paris, because after 29 years waiting, growing up (a little), moving countries, marriage, kids, house, car, job, middle age and all that bollox, my company decides to send me to the other side of the world on the very day that we could become champions once again.

I have never been there before and I can only hope that it's a big enough event that there's some footy mad Chinese bloke who will insist on having it on in the bar.

If not, then via texts from my dad.

I think an early goal maybe crucial to the psychological advantage. Whatever limited chance we have needs to come via the city players knowing we are ahead and them either failing to break down a stubborn brighton or an even more unlikely brighton goal. Panic may set in. I just keep thinking back to their QPR game.......
