Loads of possession, little penetration. Gotta move it quicker, gotta be braver.

Happy with the defense so far today. We're leaving few passes or shots uncontested.

Just need to keep knocking on the door. It will take a few clear chances to beat De Gea.

I can't stand watching football any longer to be honest.
What is the fucking purpose of referees?

I have seen our players sent off in this very same fixtures for four nowhere near as reckless and dangerous as what Lukaku did to Gomez.
So tell me again what is the fucking purpose of watching this shit parade?

Beyond the game itself, Gary Neville has been an utter disgrace today. Twice he's seen Lukaku kick Lovren in the face and all he can offer is "Does he?" Salah went down on the edge of the Manc box about 15 mins in and he jumps straight up with "Salah's just dived there" without even seeing a replay yet, then on seeing the replay, has no problem adjudging it a "dive". Ashley young tosses himself on the ground 10 mins later and there's literally 25 seconds of silence before "that decision hasn't gone Ashley Young's way". It's a disgrace. I don't even blame Neville, he is what he is, Sky shouldn't have him there, where's Alan Smith? It's quite literally like watching the match on MUTV.

very much in it, just hope we don't let them in early. We are the more attacking side so will still create chances

I think we're playing good. It's just frustrating to see that we're missing clear cut chances yet again, though - but Salah has been (save for that poor touch that almost led to their goal) a nightmare for them. Fuck, I can only imagine how this lot would've fared facing both Salah and Mane... :(

In any case, there are 3 things pissing me off right now:

1) The crowd. Why the fuck is it so silent? You're at home playing your rivals, dammit! I get that you're nervous but SING SOMETHING. Don't let the mancs sing shit about the city and don't reply. Fuck.

2) Lukaku (and the ref). How in the hell is he still on? Where are the cards, ref?

3) De Gea. Fuck that save.

c*nts are somehow immune to cards. What a surprise.

Fully expect a red for our first dodgy challenge in the 2nd half.

Not bad from the lads tho, keep it up

Salah is sensational. But he should have scored.
We're the better team and will prove it in the second half I'm sure.

All very predictable. David cunting De Gea saving their arses, Salah missing his usual sitter, Mancs being utter shithouses and the ref has left his cards at home. Lukaku should be off.

Simply cannot afford to drop off in the second half as we have so many times this season.

You've nailed it. Salah not only missed the sitter, he took it out of Coutinho's path who had an even easier chance since he just needed to swing his foot to hit the ball towards goal. Still think we can win this. I'm glad we're also being pragmatic and not huffing and puffing.

Fucking annoys me when Henderson tries that whipped first time ball behind the defence. Mostly because he almost never hits his target and secondly, there was Coutinho in 10 yards of space in his shooting zone.
Quote from: Dion Fanning

The chants for Kenny Dalglish that were heard again on Wednesday do not necessarily mean that the fans see him as the saviour. This is not Newcastle, longing for the return of Kevin Keegan. Simply, Dalglish represents everything Hodgson is not and, in fairness, everything Hodgson could or would not hope to be.

All the talk will be about Lukaku but I thought the most obvious booking was Herrera pushing Can (?) in the back to stop us breaking away from a Utd corner. The first Lukaku could (perhaps incorrectly) be let of because of the ol' "big game blood 'n' thunder" excuse, but the Herrera push was pure unsporting behaviour.

Been the better team. Salah been quality so far. Need more in the final third from Bobby and especially Coutinho. Going to deep and too often there is nothing to pass to on the left.

Defence have been decent so far. Midfield far too slow other than Wijnaldum. Henderson pass % must be great that half seeing as he spent it just playing one twos with his two CBs.

De Gea with another annoying brilliant save, but Matip should have scored. Open net really. Thank fuck Lukaku is a bottler and put that brilliant chance straight at Mignolet and made it about as easy as it possibly could get.

Lukaku should be off for 2 yellows though. Can understand the ref missing the second but not giving the yellow for the foul on Gomez was ridiculous.

media going to the front pages there

absolute disgusting behaviour from lovren smashing his face into lukaku's boot.

just got a feeling the ref going to ruin this game as usual. a soft penalty for them and maybe a red. young and martial flopping all over the place. Herrera keep committing fouls without any repercussions.

Flicked his foot sideways. Definitely knew what he was doing. Of course he'd be subtle about it. He was looking frustrated that whole half

We are playing well and United doing nothing but hoping for a set piece goal.

Salah is another level...

We lack a target man with all the crosses from Moreno... Firmino does play more as a winger or attacking mid...

we were the better team in the first half...

if we played like this through the season, we would be higher in the table...

Setting ourselves up for 0-1 here.

The signs are there - playing well, getting stuck in and controlling the game, De Gea wonder save, ref not giving cards.

Hope we can go and get 2 quickly but this feels a lot like deja vu.

The Lovren kick you at least have the excuse that the ref would have been following the play.

But can't believe Lukaku wasn't booked for the earlier foul.
You could several second in advance what was happening - Lukaku was frustrated, the ball was being passed around him, so he decided to take someone out. It was pre-meditated and calculated, and about as clear a yellow as you could see.

So why Atkinson though the correct action was to give Henderson a talking to is beyond me.

He's scored four in seven in the league. Two in four in Europe.
