No generational talent, him...

If we're looking for generational talent, how about this Sunderland player?

I think Lloyd Kelly makes too much sense to not try and do it IF Bournemouth are willing to not be silly with the price. Covers CB and LB. Like having another Gomez for the opposite side but Kelly is a much better full back by all accounts.

As for a new wide man i'd love for us to try and get Ryan Sessegnon. Mourinho clearly doesn't rate him and Spurs might need the cash with no CL and the Stadium to pay for. Could also cover at LB.

Apparently almost all the Bournemouth squad have relegation release clauses - with Ake being one of the few exceptions. I'd be curious to know what Kelly's is, but we weren't willing to pay £13m for him a year ago and I doubt it'd be any less than that since it's what Bournemouth paid for him. And with Ake going, he'll be a starter for them - from his perspective he needs to play after a year blighted by injury, and a promotion-chasing Bournemouth is a good place for him to be.

So I don't think it's likely, personally.

Perfect for them. Absolutely perfect. My main customer at work is a massive Villa fan and said as much last summer. They bought Wesley for that reason - all the tools to be a counter attacking focal point.

avoiding Mino Raiola players?

But really, he took the logical step. Last season was a ‘break out’ season for him, and we will see how he gets on next season with another step up with CL to add to the load.

Or we sign him before his value doubles :-)

I agree wholeheartedly. But that would leave us pretty bloody thin upfront. I'm not sure Rihan can fill that void, Klopp and Pep would know best, but being down to the bare bones for a long season sounds scary to me...

If Origi is sold we will definitely bring in another forward, we will probably sign someone who can play on the wings rather than a traditional #9

We will have Brewster and Minamino plus Shaq could play there.

Behind that we have Glazel and Stewart.

We have sold before buying under these owners but apart from Coutinho I can't think of a single player we've sold that we wanted to keep since Jurgen arrived.

What we have done is got decent fees for youth and fringe players that previously we couldn't give away.

Sure we rinsed Barca for Coutinho but we've brought in insane amounts from the 20, probably 30 or so other players we've sold and I think that's what's made the difference to our recruitment.

Turning Stewart into Robbo was basically magic.

There are still big deals out there, Sachs to Manchester United, Arthur to Juve etc.  Pieces don’t seem to have gone down much at alll.... it’s just that there are very few people paying them.

The market needs to sort itself out, it doesn't know where it stands. Early big splashers are going to overpay in a big way imo, mind you if you are filthy rich you can have what you want. There's only maybe city oil money  mancs foolishness psg oil money, Chelsea spent 5 windows in one...not many other spenders out there. There is NO stadium revenue.

I wouldn't be surprised to see average prices fall in half or more. Maybe some clubs will say screw the agents and try and work swap deals or player plus cash set-ups. Its all the way up and down the pyramids world wide. FSG is being very wise by staying patient, we have sales to make as well.Selling first and buying later seems a wise strategy unless you can just print money. Getting 12 for lovren is robbery. I think once the big splashers stop splashing (soon) prices will free fall.

No way prices half. Clubs will keep hold of players (save for those towards end of contracts) before accepting half of what they thought they’d get a few months ago.

Swap deals don’t cut out agents either, they still get their slice for negotiating it.

Origi is an amazing talent. If he had half the fire someone like Suarez had, he would be unbeatable. He is just too laid back for his own good. Just needs a Derby or a Champions league final night to bring out the best in him.

Completely forgot he was signed from Monaco...

There's also Origi and Fekir was a medical away from signing. How many players from Ligue 1 have broken through in the PL recently? Can't remember a lot of the off the top of my head, Ndombele and Pepe are the two obvious big money flops (though I think Pepe will come good), Saint-Maximin is decent, Kante and Mahrez were the ones all scouts should've spotted.
