Not a North South debate lads/Lassies. But what is your Politcal mind.

After last weekends RED/C Poll with the FFer's gaining 4 points and FG staying put is their a change afoot. Lab, SF and others not moving either.

Keep it clean.

It will Terry and one thing that i've always wondered about if people from the 6 counties could vote in a 32 election would SF & the DUP still control the voting powerbase that they have. We have gone through a financial disater and the ruling Party FF go up in the polls, mindblowing or is it the fact that the coalition of FG/Lab just aint cutting it. Interesting indeed.

Went for others. I don't know quite who they'd be, but I certainly wouldn't vote one of the big three (four?). Possibly the Socialist Party. If I was pushed to vote for a 'major' party, it'd probably be SF though.

Labour.  Think FG would've got in last time only they've got that plank from Mayo as leader.

Exactly, I can't for the life of me understand why they've left that plank as leader, they lost the last election that night he had the live debate with bertie.  If that bumbling, stuttering chancer can put you in your place then you really are in trouble.

FF biggest bonus over the last few years has been the weakness of the oppisition.

That has been a contributing factor, no doubt. But another reason is the fact that a glaringly large section of the voting population don't actually have a grasp on politics. Most of these people vote FF purely because they assume that FF are the countries premier party. Their reason for voting FF is usually "sure they done great during the boom, we may aswell give them another chance".  When I hear that kind of tripe, or any derivitive of it, I feel like headbutting a wall in frustration.

I'll tell you another person who can go fuck herself, is our President Mary McAleese. I heard her on the radio a few weeks ago talking about how "we were all guilty of over spending during the boom, and how we all lost the run of ourselves due to the countries injection of wealth" They were here words, not exactly perhaps, but that was the jist of what she was saying.

It just stinks of total refusal to accept responsibility. And it also stinks of trying to vindicate the total and utter frauds who led this country right over a cliff and into freefall. I'd love to ask Mrs Mc Aleese who exactly are the "we" ? Who exactly are the ones who were "guilty of overspending"? Because I fucking didn't. And my parents who worked all their lives fucking didn't, yet their pensions that they strove towards for 40 years are now in the toilet. So please enlighten me Mary, who the fuck overspent exactly?

Still though, its nice to know that my 64 year old mother has to stay in work at her hour of life, while Bertie travels the country in his state car plugging his fucking book. Because thats fair isn't? I mean, we cant expect the people who fucked the country over in the first place to foot the bill right? No, it just wouldn't be right. Lets get the ordinary working folk to do it. All the working folk who apparently were "guilty of over spending" during the boom. Because we wouldn't want to have an air of unrest in the tents at the Galway races between our ministers and our building developers now would we?

I swear to fuck, I hope I get a ticket for Croke park someday, where Im within distance of the VIP box, so I can hop a fucking glass bottle of Biffo's and Mary Mc Aleeses head. Drunken rant over.

well, they aint got a vote here yet....

If Bruton took the reins there andousted Kenny, they would increase in opularity.

I knew before i voted that SF would be popular on this vote.

Id like to rip our politics to shread, tear out all these parties and cabinets, all they do is bicker, moan, squabble, make friends with people trying to lobby them, live a life of luxery, do well for a bit whilst overlooking common sense, and eventually they fuck the country up.

I'd much prefer a our leading scientists & business people to have a much greater say, would be much better off with a rond table full of educated knights discussing and agreeing to a better future, than our spitefull unaccountable fucktards fighting with each other and taking months to years to agree on how its best to survive tribunals!

rant over.
