Unless I'm doing it wrong, it doesn't look like youtube links are displaying at the moment.

I just get a black screen. Is it my browser, have I forgotten how to embed them?

Really? Balls, must be something up with my browser then.

EDIT: Tried different browsers, works in Firefox but not in Chrome or IE. Weird.

Has there been an update with Chrome which is now blocking the flash embed?

to be honest it's annoying when people use the flash embed anyway as don't work on Apple devices (although strangely sometimes they do!).

Doesn't look like it works in the MS browsers either, so it could be anything. And Apple devices are for chumps. Chumps who probably put deodorant on in the evening before bed.

I'm getting flash blocked on linux, but there isn't a new update yet. Will propably take a few days.

To add to the Opera cacophony - doesn't work on my PC on Opera (12.17, of course).
On my Android devices (Samsung S7 and BlackBerry Priv) on Opera Mobile it displays the first frame, but won't play embedded, instead prompting to load with a YouTube player.

Reading the SMF forum, they are saying it is due to a browser update, which disables flash. It might be different browsers update at different times, so thats why some are still working and others don't. As it's browser policy, and also as Youtube have changed to HTML5 for videos, I doubt it'll be coming back.

SMF are saying they have no plans of adding video embed support, but there is a mod that can be installed to do that. This one which I think should be right would need a SMF update to 2.0.11.

I do use the flash embed quite a bit, so would be happy if something similar could somehow be reinstalled, but I understand its a lot of work and increases the page load time, so might not be wanted.

I don't even get a black square. I just get...well a blank area where there's obviously a vid (like in your post) but it's just an empty grey space on my screen.

This is on a windows phone which I'm reliably informed is a pile of steaming shite....so I'm guessing I'll just have to put up with it.

Incidentally, the calendar function on profile doesn't do much. I mean, it's not like anyone needs a calendar on Rawk, given that you're already on some sort of device which has a calendar or the capability of summoning a calendar without too much difficulty. But yeah, the Rawk calendar is fucked.

Might be a browser upgrade? For me embedded youtube stopped working a few weeks ago, I only see a white square. Updating flash and browser hasn't helped so far. I can still see them on my phone, so I think its firefox.

Working for me in all browsers I could be arsed to check (Safari, Chrome, Firefox).

Try clearing your caches and make sure something like a script blocker or security add-on isn't to blame.

On firefox? I'm on firefox and all working fine. Version is 53.0.3 (I think)
