I noticed some hits on a video I'd put up on youtube.

Turned out norwegian readers of Aftenposten / Aftenbladet voted Istanbul the best sporting moment of all time. It received over twice as many votes as number two on the list, a Norwegian league decider (I think).

This is great to listen too, I've never watched the whole game since being in Istanbul despite having Sky's full coverage of the match and the DVD for that matter, but is there anywhere with the full match coverage before, after and 606 off Five Live would love to hear it. The only links I can find that work on here are Harry Wong's.

I've never watched it again, because nothing will ever be like being in that Stadium, and I just can't watch it again.

Interesting take on that.

I wasn't in the stadium, or in Istanbul, and I must have watched the replay over 200 times!

I've never seen anything (and avoid doing so) from Athens however.

Too come back to everyone on that, I just don't know how in words to describe that night, although I have a full report in my local newspaper. I just can't watch that game again. I didn't go to Athens, I went to the Walkabout in Liverpool at about 2pm that afternoon to watch that, and I can remember them putting the whole game on and I just wouldn't watch it.

One day maybe I will watch Istanbul again, but nothing can beat what went through my head over the night and following morning of that game (remember it was a 2 day match), we won the Champions League on Thursday 26th May 2005 not the 25th whatever anyone says, I remember watching the sun come up over the Bosphorus some 6 hours later and somehow a dvd cannot recreate any of that.

remember everyone, I merged together, myself, the audio of Five live Istanbul commentary with the rare 1080i version of the game itself (yes, 1080i, not 1080p, still looks as good as 1080p on Bluray players), I managed to sync the audio and video bloody well.

Anyone interested in a copy, let me know.........its something I feel I should have ran past the club themselves as noone else has ever released the final on Bluray, and here am I with my very own Five Live dubbed version!!!!
