We will be arriving in Heidelberg around noon tomorrow.

It looks like a great place for a bevvy.

The best way is to take the train. Are you at the marktplatz?
If yes, then go to the station heidelberg-altstadt. A train runs every 30 minutes

The club messed up with the selling criteria, should've dropped it quicker.

There were loads of spares about. No matter what they did with the credits, there weren't going to be any more people in our end. Which is a shame really because we had a great trip ;D

Nice little away that, horrible place to get to but Sinsheim was a lovely little town and the ground was decent too. Fast bus and police escort out the ground back to town was helpful as well.

Why the fuck would the club only email people the day of/before the game?!  :-\ >:( I never saw it.

They tried to take my camera off me but I had loads of pics from my hols last week on them so objected - it is only a compact and I don't take pics during the game, just wanted a couple b4 ko. I hadn't realised they had taken bags off people and just thought I wouldn't get it back if I just gave them it as it was, no way of showing it was mine etc. (Yes, I could have just removed the SD card in case but didn't think at the time)

She wasn't happy so called to her boss who said it was fine to let me in with it - phew!  :D

(Hope people who had things taken off them DID get them back.)

Just saw the link to info the club issued - no mention of cameras. I did wonder if the reason behind it was they felt large cameras would get in the way of other fans or if they didn't want people to be able to take photos of play which could be sold ???

People not going probably still bought a ticket thinking they'll get a credit for it...
you could be right  but there are other possible reasons why people didn't use tickets they bought. Myself  and the other half bought tickets but didn't go in the end . Wasn't due to credit hunting though - my mum had an important hospital appointment on the day of the game which I needed to take her to .  We tried to bring it forward and on the off chance that we could bought tickets booked a hotel and had flights lined up but couldn't do so so ended up wasting the tickets. Hotel was cancellable so only lost out on the relatively cheap cost of the tickets .  Gutted as not missed a Euro away in years and by all accounts this was up there with the best but sometimes there are more important things in life.  Hopefully got plenty more to look forward to this season ☺

We were in H2 upper section and it was half empty.  But from what we could see it looked as though everyone had piled into the lower.  Lower looked crammed with people stood on the rails to view over the side fencing.

What was noticeable was that there was virtually no stewarding - no one directing where to go and we only saw one steward come into the upper for 10 min in the second half.  You had too look yourself for the steps leading to the upper sections - which weren't signed - and, although some may have gone into lower to be with mates, my guess is that most piled into the lower because they didn't see the way into the upper. If there had been a much higher attendance, then the lack of stewarding could have really impacted.

We were in G2 and we had loads in our area due to the safe standing. Great trip with a boss set of lads! Think I have just recovered ;)

Had a brilliant trip... We drove down in the Liverpool motor... It drew some good looks hahaha! A round trip of exactly 2000km from my job in Denmark.

We (4 of us) set off morning of the match... Bought the beer at the border shop in Germany, then drove to Frankfurt and picked up my mate from the Airport hotel. Drove into a crazy storm...looked like a tornado... The temperature dropped 10 degrees in 15 mins!
We hit the road Again and drove straight to the Away fans parking near the museam in Sinseim. Then went for a nice meal at a restaurant at the Station. Then joined in the Fan Zone the owner of the Club and the Town mayor had organised. Brilliant meeting all the fans and general chat.
After the game drove back to Frankfurt... We were there in an hour... stayed in the bar to about 2am... Chatting to some other Reds who also drove from Frankfurt. Then drove back to Denmark the following day.
All in all an awsome trip...loads of laughs and fun. One of the better Aways at least. But the drive in the end was a killer.

Something to point out... The Upper tier where I was, was 2/3rds empty... Quite embarrassing... Especially when it was not a Loyalty match. If you buy the tickets and dont bother going, at least sell the ticket on for face value to a Red who actually wanted to go. Our end was also host to the United Nations... loads from Germany in there.

Brilliant trip. Roll on the Next away (hopefully)

All of Emre Can's family/friends were in the upper I think!
