No dubious goals panel at this level so Stewart will probably get it.

Good to see Morton and Corness back involved and the young Polish striker back in the bench.

Liverpool #14 who came on as a sub wasn’t named on the site I looked at. Anyone know who he was?

U23s live on LFC TV v Chelsea now.

Mabaya was the no 14 who came off the bench

Mabaya was the no 14 who came off the bench

The source I’m looking at has Mabaya #16 replacing Morton on 71 mins, unnamed # 14 replacing Frauendorf after 87 then #12 Corness for Chambers on 90.

Unused subs #13 F. Mrozek, #15 M. Musialowski

U18s LFC v EFC tomorrow the mini derby can’t believe it’s not on LFC TV  :no

The commentators during today’s U23s did say something about not being able to show the U23s game away against Arsenal next Friday for COVID reasons, implying that some grounds haven’t got sufficient to protocols in place.  So perhaps that was the reason for not showing the mini mini derby today

Frauendorf. ... 1-O.    Yay

Was telling my German friend about him and he delighted in explaining that his name means village of women.

Liverpool U23s produced a fine display to beat Chelsea 3-1 in Premier League 2 on Saturday afternoon.

Rhys Williams' excellent week continued as he followed up his Champions League debut by opening the scoring at the Kirkby Academy with an unstoppable header.

Jake Cain then doubled the young Reds' lead with his third converted free-kick of the season before captain Liam Millar scored from the penalty spot.

Chelsea pulled one back through Bryan Fiabema from 12 yards out in the closing stages.

Should be a couple of academy kids involved in the week, would like Jones to start again and would personally rest Trent for Neco W. Rhys Williams was excellent against Arsenal and I think he could probably handle a game against Midjtylland, though wouldn't expect him to start. Should be a game where we are able to rotate. Also, 5 subs available for Euro games.

Certainly is some really good talents knocking around in the ressies.

Personally would I’d like to see Rhys  get a lot more games , 19 now do no reason not to see him Playing  more

Both RB Leipzig's CBs Dayot Upamecano and Ibrahima Konate  are now both top class players but we’re playing regular there from around 18 years of age .

Not sure Williams will start tomorrow, Midgetland are a huge step up from youth/reserve football.

Of course the reason could be due to quality what with Williams playing regularly also at 19 but in the sixth tier of English football. What are these additional games you would like to see him play in? I can see any upcoming games where there is even a slight chance he might start.

That’s for Klopp to decide I’m just wondering is he good enough as age shouldn’t be a huge factor

Clayton with the goal.  Glatzel has come on as sub in in the 60th min or thereabouts, so finally returning from injury.

The u18s match today at 1300 v Newcastle is on Lfc tv.  Coverage only starts 5 mins before so probably only the single camera coverage without replays.  But if you watch on tv you can always rewind and replay.  :)

I find it strange they aren't playing him for the u23s yet. He is already 18 and as you say not much more he can do at this level.
