Wait...wait....wait. Just to be clear, our three man midfield getting 'swamped' by a five man midfield is being put down to one set being in 'peak physical age' and ours not......and not down to, you know, having two men more? :D
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

There is a huge issue with our ability to win second balls and our defensive structure in midfield. However, dont think this performance can be lumped in with Fabinho’s hit list of shite performances this season.

I see Fab played for Brazil. What position on the pitch? And how did he do?

He was absymal along with fred. Having alves and telles as fb's did not help the defensive structure. Any half decent team would have put brazil to the sword.

I thought he did OK in a makeshift team. Some decent passes and interceptions, not outstanding but certainly not abysmal.

Is he done at this level? What a shadow of the player he once was. He was never the fastest but mentally he was a step ahead of his opponent. Now he’s slow in both department.

Did ok.

Standing up to that bully Rodri.
Someone else from our team should have poked Rodri some more after that. He was ready to burst. Red would have been nice.

Thought he did alright, but still looks like he's running (and turning) in treacle out there.  I reckon he'll still be able to perform at a high level if he has two workhorses covering either side of him like he did with prime Henderson and Gini, but he doesn't look as good with less physical players in our midfield.

Are we changing our style where we won't have those workhorses in the midfield with him?  Our midfield has included Harvey almost every game this year who I don't think anyone would consider a workhorse.

Selfish bastard, should know footballers are only allowed to get your other half pregnant in September for an off season birth, not when you miss important games.

He looked better against Villa and hopefully can be at his Best against Brentford . Whatever we do we need to get some legs soon . Whilst him Thiago and Henderson look slow , one signing could make a huge difference in enabling them to rotate and look more of a unit .

I am fairly sure the solution won’t be Jones, Keita or ox
