Looking forward to seeing Man United's line to be honest.

Arsenal go first and City go level with us I think. Still early days though.

I'll be happy if we can get a point at City. But if Matip is available, no reason why we can't sneak a win there either really.

Think we'll still be top. Arsenal and City will improve by 2 points to -3

Chelsea i think improve as guess Burnley away a par 1. Might not be this year

Utd lose 3 more in this.

Its really good to keep an eye on. A draw v city would be excellent

Taxes, death and me making a fatal mistake in my reading of the chart in this thread.

I think I must have been looking at an older one than the most recent one.

Sorry ;D

Edit: Yep, was looking at this one

Yep, that's an excellent point yesterday.

Played to par, and a point more than the last few seasons. I'll take a draw there every year.

Observation incoming. Looking at the coloured bar chart it's interesting to note where the teams have dropped points. All of Leicester, Utd, Spurs have been dropped at home and the same for the majority of City and Chelsea. We are the anomaly at the moment. Nothing dropped at home.

Hi Dr,
Can I check im reading this right...  the latest block is at the top or the bottom?  Is it 7 blocks of 5 games and 1 block of 3?  Can you please re-iterate how to read it?  Thanks!

Correct, the closer to the bottom of the chart the more recent the games.  Think of it as a heat map, with dark red being most relevant and then getting less relevant as the bars get lighter in colour.

And yes, 7 blocks of 5 games and then a single block of 3 games at the top to give 38 games in total.

Love this thread - thanks as ever, Prof.

One minor glitch this round: I think the Leicester total points dropped is incorrect. As a result, the graph suggests the Foxes are currently top of the APLT. It looks like they are on -2 in the first box, while the spreadsheet says 6 points dropped and the chart suggests they are bang on the 90 point line.

Yes that will be interesting. I suspect Chelsea are more likely to challenge us than Spurs but if ever a game was ripe for a classic Mourinho 1-0 this is it. And the longer Spurs go up at/ near the top the more they'll grow in confidence. Would love to open up a bit of a lead over the next couple of games. Put everyone 4/5 points behind us and given our last 2 seasons teams will begin to lose faith that they can win it. So hopefully Spurs - Chelsea is a draw.

Yes, they've had two draws and a loss in five home games. I can't see them maintaining a title challenge if that home form continues.
