From near Notts but I'd prefer to have rusty nails hammered into me than support them ;D

Nicks just upset his boys have lost to Leicester and Forest in four days
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

As for Aston Villa, Grealish is showing himself to be the best player in the bottom half of the league by a million miles. He's not got a single good teammate but he's always getting on the ball and trying. Might not be everybody's cup of tea but he does what a captain should do and leads by example. Deserves a crack at a good job.

He's not bad for a teenager.

More cannon fodder for city to muller in the final, at least Leicester would have given them some sort of game.

they struggled enough tonight when it mattered most in what was a big game for them vs a pretty poor team, they'd have crapped the bed vs Abu Dhabi in the final.

Actually hope United win this tie.  City will go into full on meltdown if they're deprived an easy trophy, it will help shore up Ole's position, and Villa might actually stand a chance of beating United.

Would rather City win the Cup anyway. Everything they win is completely meaningless.

Also, City needing to reschedule a league game could lead to us winning it sooner.

Looking at the teams it's hard to guess who Man City played in central defence?  I'm guessing it was Rodri but the way the team is listed suggests it was De Bruyne.

You could almost forget they've got a £50m international defender just hanging around but then they bring him on in stoppage time to waste a few seconds...

with these factoids he deserves a lifetime contract!

Man Utd have won consecutive away matches against Man City for the first time since winning four in a row between November 1993 and November 2000, with all wins in that run coming in league games.

Manchester United are the first side to beat Manchester City in domestic cup competition (League Cup and FA Cup) since Wigan did so during the 2017-18 FA Cup, ending City’s 19 game unbeaten run in such fixtures.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is just the third manager to win two away matches against Pep Guardiola in his managerial career, after José Mourinho and Jürgen Klopp.

Nemanja Matic was the first Manchester United player to both score and be sent off in a game since Wayne Rooney against West Ham in the Premier League back in September 2014.
However if something serious happens to them I will eat my own cock.

Was watching our game on my phone but had this game on TV and at the end Fred took a freekick in a good position whilst Mata was on the field. Apparently that was a decision from the bench.

Fred made a dogs dinner of it obviously.

I know it's unlikely, but stranger things have happened.

We did Palace 9-0 at Anfield then they beat us in the FA Cup Semi at Villa Park, remember.

You just never know...  ;)
