Referee Gil Manzano's report: "In the 28th minute the player Diego Da Silva Costa was sent off for the following motive: he shouted loudly at me the following words:  'I SHIT ON YOUR WHORE MOTHER, I SHIT ON YOUR WHORE MOTHER.'"

To be fair, that's how Costa greets his teammates most mornings.

Alba hits the post for Barcelona - https://streamja.com/7MqL

Oblak save from Coutinho on 27 mins - https://streamable.com/oypxu

Costa red card (straight red card) on 28 mins - https://streamable.com/t2bjz & https://streamja.com/EP3j

(apparently, Costa said to the ref - 'I shit on the whore who birthed you'; 'Me cago en la puta que te pario')

I just can't believe it from Costa - an angel on the pitch, usually... I thought he said 'Excuse me my good man, but with the greatest respect - I believe this decision you are making is not the correct one'...

That still gets you a red card though...

Keeper dived over the ball for the goal. Goes right under his arm.

Keeper dived over the ball for the goal. Goes right under his arm.

Even worse was the defender who pulled out of the block tackle - presumably because he didn't want to get hurt.

Someone should send the lad a video of Sadio Mane's block tackle on Friday night.

I see Aspas is rescuing Celta again - 5 goals and 2 assists in his 3 games back since his injury.  Ridiculous.  Take the total to :
With Aspas in the side: 20 games played, 7 wins, 7 draws. 28 points; Aspas 15 goals and 4 assists of the 37 goals scored in total (so scored or assisted in 48.4% of all goals)
Without Aspas in the side: 11 games played, 1 win, 1 draw.  4 points, with only 8 goals scored total.

Four-game suspension for the comments and a further four-game sanction for grabbing the referee's arm.

Dembele pulling a hammy would be helpful. His pace and skill could cause us a few issues, he's something very different from the others who slow the game a little and play in front of you. Maybe Ter Stegen breaking a finger as well.

Apart from Messi not one of Barca’s players would start in our team. Ah, Pique actually.

Shows how good we actually are st the moment but also how poor Barca are. They had legendary players as I grew up in the past 20 odd years.
Now, very ordinary as said above other than Messi.

They do have moments of brilliance tho and at times we have brain farts in defence, we can’t let them punish us with he little chances that they do get.

I'd be gutted if we got knocked out by this stale aging Barca team.

They are no where near those Barca teams that won 4 CL in 8 years.

I thought this Barca team had ended it's cycle last season after that capitulation in Rome, it's time we ended it as we are starting our cycle.

Between 2006 and 2018, La Liga was incredible. Spanish teams won 8 of the 13 champions leagues in that period and were runners up in 3 more. It would appear however that period of dominance is coming to an end with the three leading sides all ageing and in the case of Real, selling their superstar player. Messi seems to be dragging Barca along and Atletico again showing they aren’t quite good enough to compete for the big trophies (although a league and two European cup finals is a great achievement in the aforementioned period.) Barca could obviously win it again this year however there a variety of new kids emerging on the block.

Bit harsh. They still have some brilliant players but messi overshadows them. I dont rate the manager that highly to be honest...Guardiola, Klopp, Emery, Pochettino are all better and I'd suggest they would get more out of the other players.

This comment will make me look a right twat over the next week or so but hey ho...

Been watching the last 10 minutes and it’s been all Levante, they’ve gotten into some decent areas and fluffed their chances. Everything Barca do comes through Messi - shock horror. Their attackers have little interest in tracking back and supporting the defenders so it could be a straight battle between Mane, Salah and their full backs. Worth noting these are snidey c*nts. Busquets, Vidal and Alba to name a few will pull out all their tricks to stop any of our attacks.
