Far and away the best team for him to transfer to. A team that plays for set pieces SHOULD be signing a player good over the dead ball.

Think it would be good for him. Would force him to improve his defensive side of the game which is his big weakness.

Burnley would be good with McNeill and Wilson whipping balls into Wood and co.

I like McNeil and think he's the type Klopp would love to get his hands on. He'd be ideal cover for Robbo initially (a LW for Burnley probably has more defensive responsibility than a LB for us). But yeah, he'd cost a fair bit as he's Burnley's biggest asset and I don't think we'll consider him.

Speaking of Burnley, they should be all over Harry Wilson. A British player who happens to be a phenomenal set piece taker? That's Dyche's dream.

I think Dyche quite likes a typical winger to be fair. Can get a good cross in, take set pieces, as long as he ups his work rate is good he will fit in well. McNeil is a good example of this.

In one week we have lost Hendo. Matip, Gomez and Billy to injury. Ox is out already.

We do need a bigger squad this year for sure.

We’ve got a stronger squad than last year quality wise, numbers wise it’s slightly bigger before any more sales, but the youngsters are a year older and any sales will likely be from those unlikely to take much part even with a congested fixture list.
Also Gomez and Henderson are due back next week and it doesn’t sound like Matip is far off.

Wilson isn't a typical winger by any stretch, which is why I'm not sure Burnley is the right place for him to go. Weirdly enough, I think Bertrand Traore would have been a better fit for Burnley and Wilson would have been a great upgrade on Trezeguet for Villa.

Yeah, exactly, they already have McNeil as a left-footed "typical winger". Wilson is more of a wide forward/number 10 hybrid who usually cuts in from the right on his strong foot. Maybe they see him as a change of pace player and set piece specialist rather than a nailed on starter in their usual set up.
