Most are fair weather fans, on here.  Without the big three, I don't think many are interested.

I’m bored of the big three. :D Probably am quite fair weather, the switch to Amazon Prime for ATP stuff didn’t help on a way. Pleased for Sinner though, he’s seem very strong the last 6 months or so.

I watched it and it was great match but there was no traction on here :(

Sinner and Alcaraz will hopefully take over from the big three over the next few years, they seem to be the best of that generation and don't seem to be twats either.

Don't lie Nick, you love Novak  ;D

Never bored of seeing him lose!

I was also watching the cricket which was brilliant but I’ll stay in my lane for that one.

Quietest Grand Slam discussion on Rawk as long as I can remember, was it that uneventful? ☺️

The matches were mostly in the middle of the night to be fair.

Good final that. Especially with Mr. Gluten not present.

Well done Sinner. Was only going to be one winner the longer the game went on. I prefer watching WTA still.

Been a big Sinner fans since I saw him take on (and ultimately get ground down) by Djoković at the 2022 Wimbledon. Lovely consistent ground strokes on both sides and moves brilliantly.

Well done Sinner. He beat Novak, no easy task no matter how "off" he was. I would have liked Medvedev to win myself, (I am a complete fair weather watcher), but there can be just one winner. So, well done fella.

Sinner deserved that.

What a comeback.

Wonderful result for Sinner, I always feared for Meddy after going through two five setters so it's no surprise that Sinner came through strong at the end. Hopefully this is the changing of the guard that Men's tennis needs.
I’ve plenty links to the clubs playing and backroom staff as many on here know thank you very much. Fair enough, I admire your optimism. But you’re absolute ostriches if you think this squad, even with 2 or 3 new, “cut price” players with potential get us anywhere close

I guess there may be other things I’m not aware of but on the surface this feels like a good stance from Martina and Chris Evert, about the not taking the WTA Finals in Saudi.

hopefully the WTA listen and make a stand.

Fully expect the WTA to fold like a house of cards when they smell the money. See their return to China despite Peng Shuai still effectively being a captive of the state.

There was a stat the other day that I thought I posted here but clearly didn't.

Sabalenka won her 8th Grand Slam quarter final out of 8 she's reached last week. She's unbeaten in them, meaning she's only the 2nd woman ever to win her first 8 GS quarter finals.

Chris Evert won her first 48 grand slam quarter finals.

Well done to Katie Boulter - beat 5 higher ranked players to win the San Diego Open, her first WTA 500 title. Lifts her to 27 win the world rankings so good chance of being seeded for Roland Garros.

Great win for her. I assume now that Ash Barty has retired that the Aussies are going to claim her any day now. There's no Aussies in the top 100 currently.

Her other half had a good weekend too, winning the final in Acapulco. Up to 10th in the world now.

Alcaraz wins Indian Wells. Beat Medvedev fairly comfortably after a tight first set.

Medvedev is an odd one. Hard to explain but he’s way taller than he looks like he should be! Don’t know why but looks like he should be about 5’10 but he’s incredibly gangly.

Andy Murray announces he suffered a full rupture of his Anterior Talo-Fibular ligament during his match yesterday in Miami.

He will be out for an extended period.

“Yesterday towards the end of my match in Miami I suffered a full rupture of my ATFL and near full thickness rupture of my CFL. I will see an ankle specialist when I return home to determine next steps. Goes without saying this is a tough one to take and I'll be out for an extended period. But I'II be back with 1 hip and no ankle ligaments when the time is right.”

I think his plan to bow out at Wimbledon might be at risk now. It was a really good match, but at 5-5 in the third set he was running towards the net and felt something pop as he landed and started screaming in pain. Was surprised he managed to finish the match but that might be the last Masters event for him.

Such a shame. He was playing as good as he has for some time the last few days.

Unreal mentality to keep going at this stage of his career.

Personally I saw his exit, if this season, at the US Open, where he won the Boys Singles plus his first Grand Slam
His personality leads to not wanting a big fanfare @ Wimbledon, he would like to play the Olympics this season for sure, though it's a small field and qualifying is difficult, I think he had an exemption at the last Olympics of some kind, a bow out at the US Open, the final slam of the season, I think more likely, but fitness now a plan wrecker, if he has one
according to 24/7 I will be scrambling round for tickets on the exchange all season #STH #19awayclub

That’s gutting for him. Saw the way he rolled it, looked nasty. Mad that he could carry on and get so close to getting through.

Avoid the clay court nonsense and see if he can have some fun in the summer. Agree that the US Open might be the place he bows out.
