Would we pay significantly less for his training fees than say, Spurs, because of the fact he went through our academy before moving?

I'm assuming we'd still have to pay something to Blackpool for development.

That's interesting. So he's not moving from the region. Might end up at somewhere like Wigan/Everton if he doesn't want to leave the region. Unless his family situation alters.

I honestly doubt that we'll pick him up with the talent we have coming through.
You could open a door with him, he's such a knob.

Ha ha quality. Serves Oryston right...

Oryston should of accepted our offer.. No club will bid 8m again now and Ince has made it clear he wants to stay in the North West ruling out plenty of clubs.

He wants to rejoin us and I wouldn't be shocked if he is a Liverpool player within a season(depending on how he performs). If we get shut of Downing then it could be sooner than we think.

We'd lose out on our 35% cut of any transfer fee and he would want a massive signing on fee (due to the lack of transfer fee) though?

Depends how you look at it!

In Jan we bid 4.m for him.

We were meant to get around 2.8m if he moved to Cardiff. So paying he say 1.2m signing on fee would be too bad.

Thing is no club is going to pay 8m now.

Any club would have to pay some money to Blackpool for 'training' if he goes at the end of his contract, so it could still be a decent amount he would cost, however given he was with us for a while I am not sure if we would be due some of this also?

He will get a juicy signing on fee as a free agent, I wouldn't worry.

We are probably missing out on £2.8m here

To be honest with the players we have now and the fact we are looking to improve, you question whether it would be good for him to move to us. Its not like he will be short of competition.

Think it will be an excellent move for him now.

Downing will more than likely leave. sterling/Ibe LM with Countinho AM. Sterling can also play RM.

It far too too early to talk about Alberto but I think AM is where he will end up. So we've room for him(even with Downing staying)

Sterling and Ince with Ibe -not getting much better than that.

Be a bit of a weird one given we don't seem interested any more.

We clearly aren't interested anymore

Makes no difference atall what fee we are interested at if he isn't on offer at that fee. Seems a nice enough lad and i think he will do well wherever he goes, but we won't be signing him in this window. Its something that has passed

Blackpool winger Thomas Ince is set to leave the Championship club after he was given permission to discuss a loan move to a Premier League side.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/25907989

Swansea, Everton & Cardiff mentioned on the radio as possible destinations. Guess Blackpool taking an increased loan fee now & then letting him leave on a free waves goodbye to our sell on fee.  ::)

Yep, seems they are taking a big loan fee now to avoid us getting a cut by selling him. I would be slightly annoyed but nevermind, they are rotting away in the championship after their one season in the top flight, which Oyston will never see again :)

Blackpool are trying to do us over here.

We would be foolish not to now try to get him on loan or make Blackpool a 2.8m offer or whatever they would of owed us(so we get the player for free) to drum up so firm bids for the player.

I think since Blackpool didn't let him join us last Jan then he was always leaving on a free.

playing for your country should be a highlight of any players career,Tom Ince is a complete waste of talent, seems to have a lot of it but is quite happy to talk a good game yet not show his true talent enough, badly advised or not he needs to get his head out of his arse and start showing his talent on the pitch instead of talking shite.

Playing for England is just a bonus.

Ince isn't showing his true talent and needs to concentrate on playing 1st team football.

At first I thought it was a silly decision but now I think he has done the right thing.

You'll find plenty of posters on here who feel otherwise, particularly those spelling the national team as "Ingerlund" or some variation thereof.

No doubt a percentage of players feel the same way.  Maybe young Ince is one of them.

But perhaps it's for practical footballing, psychological, or medical reasons as Le Jake and Fordy say.  Things that the Ingerlund setup are noted for ignoring.
