It would be easy to say that the signing of Jota has spurred him on, but the truth is that Mane only has one setting. 100% every game both in attack and defence.

Love his second today. Such a Sadio Mané type of goal. The fully committed sprint at the keeper, who of course panics (who wouldn’t?!) The speed of reaction to stick out a foot. But best of all, the calmness to glance up before slotting home. It’s his balance that’s incredible. His strength too. And his speed. And touch. And coolness. And intelligence. And and and.....

Absolutely relentless; was certain to score if he wasn’t hauled down in the first half and that header was something else. I noticed on the replay for the second goal for a split second he curses himself for overhitting the pass and then snaps into action to press the keeper and got his reward. We’re spoilt rotten with him, what a player.

it wasn't luck, if hadn't chased down the keeper then he wouldn't have been there to intercept the ball

I've thought if for a while now, but Mane is one of the best headers of the ball in the league. Outstanding. He isn't even tall, and he still seems to score so many headers.

I think throughout our club history we always have forwards who are willing to do a lot of pressing. Rush, Owen, Torres, Suarez. I only lazy guy I could remember is Balotelli and maybe Sturbridge.

What can you say about this guy that hasn't already been said?

For my money he is in the top 5 players in the world. At his very best he is completely unplayable. On his off days he is still a menace to the opposition because he works so hard and you know there is a chance that he will do something special out of nowhere.

He would be the best number 10, number 9 and wide forward at most clubs in this league.

The fact that he is an outstanding human being puts him into the living Liverpool legend status already for me.

We are really lucky to be around to be supporting Liverpool at this moment.

Thought he was insanely good today. The energy, the intensity, everything was just absolutely top notch. There was one shot that went wide where he twisted his body around like a computer game glitch where you usually go "aah, that doesn't happen in real life".

Neymar wishes he had as much drive, intensity and passion as this guy. Nothing every phases him on the pitch no matter the scenario. He attacks, he defends - he's intense when he needs to be and calm and calculated when he needs to be. He's like a robot
