Fearless by Pink Floyd and YNWA
« on: February 5, 2006, 12:18:16 am »
Just listening to this song (it's one of many I use to get up for big games,) and was wondering whether non-pink floyd fans are aware of the fact that the ending has a very nice version of YNWA (only from the first "walk on," but still very good.)

Outside of the YNWA, also a very nice song, but just though I would let people know... and if anyone has instructions for uploading, I'd be willing to let some of you have a listen as well. :wave
Me dad reckons he was in the Kop when it was recorded so says he's sang for Pink Floyd. ;)

was chattin shit there.

www.savefile.com is a site where you can upload files and store them together. I use one to keep all the songs i want my mates to hear on, so they can download them without bothering me.

http://savefile.com/projects/104032 - just started a new one, old one wasn't working for some wierd reason. will put meddle on it next for those who want to hear it.

I wonder how much Weed has been smoked while people have been listening to Floyd? Probably more than an African Jungles worth of trees.

I'd say they destroyed 3 Jordans worth of plastic trying to play the records backwards too.

Didn't have a clue it was actually on Meddle, but I bought a copy on CD when I'd just got off the train going back to University in Newcastle after the Juventus match last year. I got in and stuck the CD on and just let it play through, but must have dozed off mid way through One Of These Days (hypnotic bass line doing its tricks!), and woke up thinking I was tripping and having some mad flashback of the Kop the night before when Fearless came on cos it has the sample just running through the background of the song.

Fucking pissed off now. What a joke of a pitch. I'm going for a walk.

Cheers for the pointer then Terry.

Shamefully, I've only got Rubber Soul and Sgt Peppers so far, as well as the Number 1's album and I was gonna plump for 'revolver' next. But if 'The White Album' is the one to 'Lose Yourself' in and chill out to then I think that'll be my next purchase, Beatles wise.

Recall reading on the net somewhere that it was a derby game that was recorded at....there is a Pink Floyd omnibus with the stories behind all their songs that would settle the issue.

By the way...I think Pink Floyd lost something when Syd was ousted from the band; not that he was in any condition to continue, but Piper at the Gates of Dawn is still my favourite Floyd album.

I like them a lot before and after... but my favourite things come later... dark side of the moon, wish you were here (though I'm not sure when Meddle comes, and I think that is my second favourite.) He was very talented... but Waters and Gilmour were a great pair as well.
