He’s like a manager on the pitch, his influence on this side goes far beyond that of a player although he is still a very good PL footballer. Would easily play every week for half the PL sides even still.

Totally agree.

Sounded like a manager in his post match interview.

I'll be surprised if he doesn't end up managing.

Thought the praise for him after the FA cup final was a bit misplaced - he struggled to keep the ball well and it didn't have a great effect on our midfield for the most part. However last night I thought he was fantastic.
His decision making and passing from the 6 was incredibly good .. obv the two performances are the difference between being pressed and not but even still I think he was probably our MoM (especially given the circumstances of rarely playing there) - definitely his game of the season

my first thought seeing that is - someone's gonna copy him but take it further by dropping their shorts to distract the goalie as the player takes his run up.  :)

Looking forward to seeing him and us breaking the record as the first player to make 38 appearances as the last sub, pick up 38 bookings and win 38 times.

In all seriousness keeping Milner can only be a good thing especially if on significantly reduced terms as reported - great in the dressing room can be a tired cliche but he still delivers on the pitch more often than not too. It's just about picking the right games and moments for him

Happy he's staying. Consummate professional, great in the dressing room, and can still cut it on the pitch, I think. Love to see him rack up appearances for us instead of Abu Dhabi.
