Liverpool 1 - 1 Man Utd
Liverpool 3 -1 Man Utd
Man Utd 1 - 0 Liverpool
Man Utd 3 - 2 Liverpool

We're almost there. Our third meeting against Manchester United this season. The last two have been at Anfield, in the Premier League a 1-1 draw, and the FA Cup, where Liverpool won thanks to a late Dirk Kuyt goal, 2-1. We're halfway into the season and the race for all spots seems on. A win would be big, huge while a loss would seem all but diminishing hopes of achieving aims

Adam, Craig and Edgar were kind enough to answer some questions asked by me to do RAWK's traditional Spyin' Kop. Tried to pick out those who seemed the most passionate and neutral as well. Here it is...

Q, So, 24 games in to the league. What were you start of the season expectations and looking back at them, what do you make of them ?

Adam : I thought that the Premier League was going to be a dogfight b/w us and Chelsea while Man City would be fighting for 3rd spot. Chelsea have crumbled a lot and it's safe to say that they're out of the hunt while I still believe we will win the league but also counting on City to drop points along the way. United have always had the never die attitude and I don't believe Fergies gonna give up.

Craig : I will be slightly critical but this season we have been in decline. We usually pick up a cup in the season but we're out of the Carling Cup, FA Cup, Champions League (don't go there) and realistically speaking, them bastard neighbors do seem like they'll pick up the league. Still have faith.

Edgar : Well a bit of an up and down. Never ever thought we'd be out of the Champions League in the group stages. The league is still there for the taking but it's going to be very close. We usually nick it and the very end. Here's hoping to the best.

Q, So Europa League football.... how's that going to turn out. Do you think you'll go for it or let the kids have a runabout ?

Adam : It's a continental trophy, no ? Champions League is special and I thought we would actually be winning it this year but I'd rather win the Europa League rather than the FA Cup, League Cup etc. now that we're down there.

Craig : No. To be honest, it would be hypocritical to say I'd take pride if we win it. I remember how much pisstake I took when you guys fell to that level 2/3 years ago and my mates would never let me live that down. So, no. I don't really care.

Edgar : We face Ajax in the first game we play. There are some decent teams in the competition ; no doubt so if we win it, I would be encouraged and will celebrate slightly but it would feel nothing close to how good it feels when winning the league or champions league.

Q, Your exit courtesy of Liverpool FC in the FA Cup. How did that feel ?

Adam : Fuck off. :P

Craig : Evenly contested but we deserved to draw, if not win. Valencia hit the post, we played well then all of a sudden the useless lump De Gea who can't handle crosses let's you guys go in front all of a sudden. Park took a very well placed goal but then poor marking from Evra led to a simple route-one-esqe goal to win it for you guys. Bitter, but it's the FA Cup, so...

Edgar : Rather not go there. After all the shit endured through the Suarez/Evra saga and the way you booed him. Awful. Anfield could have been slightly less hostile towards him. Didn't really care about the result.

Q, Best player you have seen in a United shirt ?

Adam : Scholesy. Brilliant passer of the ball, technician, maestro and an eye for goal. Brilliant

Craig : George Best. Many people have not been fortunate enough to have seen him play but my word, he was special.

Edgar: 2 decades at the club. Most decorated British player of all time. Giggs.

Worst player ?

Adam : Evans. Fuck me. Worst player in a United shirt in a long time.

Craig : De Gea. We need a player to fill the boots of a flying Dutchman and we buy a player who flaps at crosses and can't catch a cross for shit.

Edgar : Johnny Evans.

Q, Any player you admire of our team ?

Adam : Always have, Gerrard or the new Lucas.

Craig : Since Vidic is out for the season, would rather choose someone in defence or more specifically. I like a defender who likes to go forward and has a presence so Agger.

Edgar : Reina. Many of our supporters don't like but I'd think he's the second best keeper in the league after Hart.

Off topic, but from a general point of view - who would you give the England managerial position ?

Adam : Harry Redknapp as a serious candidate who might even get something out of England at the Euros.

Craig : Just so Spurs are not breathing down our neck and he might do wonders for England, 'Arry Redknapp.

Edgar : WoyforEngland

Q, Care to predict the outcome of the game ?

Adam : Sorry, but I don't predict games.

Craig : 3-1 to us.

Edgar : 4-0 to the mighty red devils !

Big thanks to the guys for answering the question on short notice as well.

surprising responses, gland to see some level headed responses and fans. I hope if these was reciprocated on redcafe that our responses were similarly level headed.

Good little read there and I agree, they seem like decent enough lads. Not sure about that 'hostility' towards Evra being a problem since I've got a funny feeling Suarez might get worse treatment from their lot tomorrow. Don't ask me why, like...
