Someone show me that VAR does NOT spend more time with our calls.... This season has had at least 10 moments like these - and how was that only 3 extra minutes?

These are systemic issue folks - just cannot blame this on individual mistakes and a few bad apple incompetent refs.... We regularly get jobbed like...

Time after time Villa get free kicks for falling over.

They have one chance and score......Alisson must do better.

VAR just drew the line from Jota’s elbow and not his mid-upper arm.

Anyway we need to stop mucking around with the ball and start to do more with it.

Even if it is offside, which I'm not convinced it is, there's no way they can conclusively say the Villa defender didn't get a touch, so how can they overturn the on pitch decision?

This isn’t meant to be a sarcastic post. I genuinely don’t celebrate Liverpool goals when they go in. If I hear the commentator say “well they are checking this for a possible X, Y or Z,” I know it’s not a goal. If the opposition takes the kick off I celebrate.

The lines don't even look right as they are drawing them. Not talking about perspective, but they use the Villa players foot yet his arm is out?

Absolute pile of shite, whoever is on VAR seems to get a choice where they place the cross to draw the line - complete farce

Aside from that same issues persist, lots of chances, concede from few opposition chances.

I think if we just keep plugging away we can win this 2-1.

Jota and Salah both look lively and bright. And TAA looks to have returned to his crossing best.

We are the better side, but we need to improve in the final third. Needless to say I don't like VAR. Felt like the whole point after our goal was to find a way to rule it out. We have another 45 minutes and I hope to see a reaction. Jota is our main threat. I suspect we'll see one of the CMs substituted quite early.

That said, the lack of integrity of the officials shouldn't detract from another error strewn horror show of a performance.

That was brutal. I wish the var protocol was more objective and fast. The man city goal was checked within seconds and yet the fat marker lens and wonky lines seem to be drawn several times when it’s us. It’s really hard to have an unbiased opinion on this but it seems to me we are getting fucked over

The way they drew those lines then was laughable, obviously corrupt. Are they saying his elbow was off? The var idiot:1,didnt know if the villa player touched it. 2,didnt know when the ball was played. 3,couldnt see an offside after the first line(when jota looked on) so drew another few lines and moved the frame on a bit to find an offside.
