He is just hurt because his fool proof strategy has gone down the shitter.

Yeah I can understand him feeling like a twat after all the talk he did about Mbappe and Bellingham but you don't put stuff like that.

He had the chance to play for the best club in the World, yet he decided to play for that shithouse of a club for a pile of cash ...
Madrid are the whole package. Biggest club and stage in the world. Rarely a player passes on a chance to sign for them. They have got the aura. And in the last 10 years they have the trophies to show for it too. Get over it.

Ultimately, the club voluntarily pulled out of the race to sign Bellingham when he apparently favoured us, so I'm not sure why it's meant to be on him. In any case, to the average player we're currently a Europa League team with no apparent ambition to win anything substantial in future, while Real are the reigning Champions League winners and are looking to assemble the greatest team on earth. It sucks but it is what it is. As for Pete Red saying something like that, well that's why I have him on Ignore.

Actually, I agree with KH, and I apologize for not believing her. We were never going to meet his wage demands. Still, the club should have known earlier that Bellingham and his father are only using us as a bait for Real Madrid to give them what they want ...

Believe it or not, I am not actually that pissed off that we missed out on Bellingham specifically. Whatever the reason why he won’t be signing along, whether it be we not having the money or your reason that he used us to smoke out Madrid’s interest.

The reason I am pissed off with the situation is that I stated last summer that Liverpool FC should not be sacrificing/risking seasons for the chance to sign any footballer. No footballer is worth that. It was absolutely obvious we needed reinforcements last summer and this stupid idea to wait for St Jude of Stourbridge to grace us with his presence was exactly that, stupid.

I never thought he would sign for us but that changed in the January window when we didn’t get a midfielder, I thought that has to mean we will sign this guy. But alas we pulled out and that illustrated a huge abdication of duty that forget last summer, even as things were falling apart, we let January pass without a new midfielder.

We had the second highest revenue* after Abu Dhabi last season and we bought Nunez, a sizeable fee fair enough but certainly not the expenditure of a huge club that was so close to winning everything, not sure why people expected us to buck the trend this summer for Bellingham.

Christian Falk on Jude Bellingham:

Quote
"I heard his father’s demands were the decisive point. Of course, the overall package mattered. If we were talking about just the salary and transfer fee, a Liverpool move may have been possible."

"However, a salary of €20m [£17.3m] plus a transfer fee, which Dortmund have set at €150m [£130m], and then some side money for Mark Bellingham and the agent would be impossible for Liverpool."

"I heard they said it was crazy and they don’t do such crazy things."

I rest my case on this one ...

I think the issue for Chelsea is Colwill wants to leave. He will need to be a guaranteed starter. Now they have Fofana, Thiago Silva, Koulibaly and Badiashile. Assuming they sell Chalobah.

I don't think they can gurantee him a spot.

Colwill said his hero was Gerrard did he not.

He's also seen how they've fucked over a bunch of their acadmey players this year. Guess he's manager gives them a chance to try and convince him, but wouldn't a be a surprise if he wouldn't want to sign a new deal there.

Apparently his deal runs to 2025 - hope he doesn't sign a new one, would love to sign him somewhere down the line (assuming he doesn't join Brighton this summer)

Colwill? He'd be perfect for the LCB spot currently where Robbo has been playing. He's also the best long term Van Dijk replacement I've seen.

Given Brentford have signed Mark Flekken for £11m, you've got to assume they are confident Raya is going somewhere for a decent fee. I'd have thought Spurs is a likely candidate, although that would severely limit Everton's chances of cashing in on Pickford this summer

Surprised Raya wants to leave when they’ve been consistently on the up. Makes you think he knows he has interest from a bigger club. Spurs feels obvious as they need to replace Lloris. Would United go for him or has De Gea signed a new deal? He’s a decent kicker so would suit someone who want to build from the back.
