Sadly I think on the evidence here, we may be in for a very rough next few weeks.

Team looks out of sorts. Good level of fight back this half but can't hold on. Defence looks shacky, midfield looks slow, attack looks good but we can't feed them at all.

Dunno what we can do to change it, or why the drop off has been this dramatic. I don't think it's down to not getting a midfielder and losing Mane, not for this level of fall

Just stick Trent in the midfield and play 3 CB’s if he’s not even gonna try be a defender let’s not treat him as one.

3 goals conceded which are completely avoidable with better defending.

The goals we scored we good though.

I could understand the scoreline in the first half, Brighton really did deserve it with their play. The second half, however, was inexcusable in that sense. Think the substitutions didn't work at all, and worst of all, the players who probably should have come off didn't.

What a shame, really.

Would love to get a player in our midfield who's quick once they get turned. Any player gets behind our midfield and you see Elliott, Fabinho, Thiago and Henderson all huffing and puffing a couple of yards behind someone running with the ball.

3-3. We should have won. Unfortunately we can't defend well enough this season. Alisson could be out MOTM in a 3-3 game and that says a lot. Disappointing. We can do so much better and we need to if we want to be involved in a title race.

No doubt we’ll get the standard ‘haven’t invested in the squad’ etc, but Milner at LB and Elliott back on at RCM when Trent is struggling even more than he has been. Who on earth could have guessed the equaliser would therefore come from a cross from the right into an area the LB should have been challenging.
