We need points, not minutes for Nunez. Play whoever is fit and mist capable to contribute. He’ll get minutes, then more, then a start. No rush whatsoever.

Excited to see Carvalho up front.  Seems a natural spot for him from what little I've seen of him. 

More excited to see a proper bench without two GKs.

Most excited to see the Reds again after what seemed like six months away.  This break was harder than the CL Final to Fulham for me as last season was so grinding and tense I was exhausted as a fan and was happy for a bit of time away.

he has been a rather isolated figure down the right at times where his threat is negated.

Particularly given Fab and Thiago are fit. This is exactly the game we can play Elliot and not worry overly about his lack of defensive contribution. Fabinho and Thiago almost function like dual 6s and they’ll fill the holes, then let Elliot do his attacking thing.

Elliot in midfield makes our attack a bit dysfunctional imo, Salah ends up slightly wider with more bodies between him and the goal, while Trent comes infield more because Salah is now occupying the space he'd usually run through on the overlap. We usually look a lot better with a more orthodox three in midfield, even if Henderson's numbers are down a bit.
