I would put him at #2 currently behind Ray Clemence purely based on the longevity of Ray and what he won with us.

Ray was the best bar none. Alisson is a top keeper, one of the best but Ray could do everything he can and more, particularly catching the ball. Punching was the last thing he did as being in control of the ball was so important.

Alison Becker is the best goalkeeper Liverpool has had for the last 25 years. The decision to sign him was one of the best the transfer team ever made.

You can go back further than that. He’s the best for at least 35 years (Brucie’s pomp) and even then from what I’ve seen I think he’s almost certainly our best since Clemence isn’t he?

I agree I would certainly prefer him in goal vs grobelaar! Clemence was before my time and I never watched any game witn him playing as the goalkeeper so I won't be able to comment on how good he was vs Alison becker.

Just the goalkeeping attributes would be great enough, he's the best to ever do it in that regard but he scores and assists on top of it as well

Laughable he's not in the balon do'r convo but goalies don't get much love in that respect.

If you watch the every angle video you can see every single defender run to Alisson to celebrate his brilliant assist

Not only did he bring that to this game he was over all just brilliant

For me he is one of the greatest goalkeepers of all time. He really does not have a weak part of his game

I think others are brilliant at certain aspects but Alisson is brilliant at every facet of a modern keeper.

The technique for the pass to Mo was just outrageous. He ends up going full length just to get the power and trajectory just right.

The only thing I was surprised by is that Alisson didn't come sliding into Mo's hug a la after his assist against United.

When he took the kick, the camera was on him and when his feet sort of went out from under him, I was afraid he'd mis-kicked it and it was likely an errant loss of possession by us.

Cause the united game it was the second goal very late on that pretty much guaranteed we won and put us in an extreme position to win the league, the context of the two goals is very different

If he went sprinting down for this and celebrated like a mad man and we drew or lost it would be frivolous

That assists sealed the win and put us like 23pts ahead of City with a record of 21-1-0

Yeah, it was Thiago. You can see Robbo a bit further ahead and in another angle you can then see Robbo sprinting forward to celebrate with Mo.. I also love that once again Pep sunk to his knees when he saw Mo taking the piss out of Cancelo or whoever that was and he knew that it would be a goal...
