He stood in as right back on one occasion and actually kept the defensive line really well. Even managed to intercept a pass. Better defensively and offensively than Trent, what chance have Trent got?

He often goes back after corners. It must be coached, but I don't know why. Seems that he'd be more effective at the edge of the box if a second ball comes to him.

He’s definitely worked on the defensive side of his game. That used to be a small criticism some had, as Mane seemed to help out more and do more defensive work but he’s definitely more involved back there now and it makes a difference as we saw tonight.

Going forward he’s just incredible, thought he was brilliant tonight

Was excellent again tonight but I'd like to see us trying to get him more central. Could be wrong, but it feels like he's spending a lot more time out on the touch line so far this season compared to previously, and given he's our most reliable goalscorer it feels we'd be better served getting him closer to the goal? Although you can't really argue with the results so far!

The BT pundits had a few weird things to say on Salah. There was that 30 seconds last night when he missed his penalty I guess, I can't think of any other dip.

Our whole play this season has been to overload the right-hand side with him, Trent and Elliott (Henderson last night) as well as even Matip getting involved on occasion. Move him central and we won't be able to do that as effectively.
