The problem is that if Nunez doesn't score enough goals/ contribute enough you also have problems with Salah (extremely similar productivity this season to Nunez when you take out penalties), Diaz and Gapkp (who have worse production). Jota is better but then he's injured loads and that's not much good. So basically if there are question marks over Nunez there are similar sized ones, or bigger ones, over every one of our forwards. Which might well be right. But at least be consistent.

Yeah its not fair on him but he was bad. His race is run for this season.

Maybe we salvage a draw, but we were awful throughout the game bar 35-50 in the first half.

But we should have been leading at HT. That Nunez blast is pathetic.

Amazing how silent the American media is regarding hundreds of Bodies in mass graves found outside 2 flattened Hospitals in Gaza with hands bind and bullet hole to the back of the head, Women and Children amongst the dead.

IDF seems as sadistic as those Serbian death squads who rampaged killing Muslims in Bosnia.

Everyday on my X feed I see about 5-6 Congressman or Senators posting pro Israeli propaganda, the absolute Cucks, AIPAC must have a ridiculous budget or have serious dirt on them.

The media have tried to big up the '3 way title race' but two haven't even made the Champions league semi's and one didn't even make the Europa League semi's

What has that got to do with anything?

Klopp should be lauded for challenging for the league until April despite the ridiculous amount of injuries rather than chastised because he couldn't get it over the line.
You only have to imagine what it would be like if we had Arsenal's luck with injuries this season.

Absolutely. I think that ultimately we overachieved for a lot of this season and the squad isn't quite at the level we hoped it was about a month or two ago. That overachievement is down to Klopp and the players. It's faded away unfortunately, but we've battled well considering the major changes in the summer, the injury crisis and some pretty costly refereeing mistakes. Ultimately it'll prove a good season, sadly not the spectacular one Klopp deserves to go out on.

Pace is huge. A wide forward without athleticism in our setup is awful for our system. Perhaps Salah has been on a downward curve athletically for a couple of years and it’s now reached a point where he can’t compensate in other ways. Perhaps his decline in pace has been matched with a decline in balance, strength, stamina etc and he can’t compensate for it.

I don't think he looks slower than he did earlier in the season. Salah hasn't been able to beat players with pace or run away from opponents in a foot race for a long time.

As recently as the middle of February, he came on in a game vs Brentford and looked like the best version of Mo Salah - swaggering, lively, creative, composed. Contrast that to the absolute shell of a player we've seen since his injury re-occurred in that game. Pace doesn't explain that enormous drop-off from less than 10 weeks ago.

His strength was one of his huge attributes up to recently - he now looks weak as piss against any opponent.
His confidence and willingness to take responsibility are gone.
His basic touch is awful.
He can't finish.

It's not just pace - it's like all of his abilities have gone to shit. He looks like a player who's injured to me, but I don't think that's the case, cos he wouldn't be picked if he was unfit. And he's had a lot of time since his injuries to get all his match fitness back. Instead he looks almost worse by the game.

He looked devastated last night to be fair.

I think he will stay and be the face of new Liverpool but we have to decide on him being a full back or midfielder. The hybrid thing doesn’t really work with our personnel.

If he goes to Madrid then he will be a right back and he has talked openly about not wanting to do that anymore.

I'm sure he would swallow it if we were winning trophies and he could see better creativity ahead of him further up the pitch.

The issue Benfica fans had of him was that he was scruffy in his finishing and general play. His general play I feel has improved a great deal which is testament to him.

His finishing has been scruffy but we know he can finish. But has he ever been confident in his 2 years here? Also no matter all the talk about variance and it being fine, those misses must be playing on his mind. He is just blasting every chance he gets.
It's not confidence but a lack of fundamentals such as:
1. Composure
2. Consistent first touch
3. Offside awareness (nowhere near good enough)
4. Chaotic decision making
5. Not great in the air either and he tends to miscue a lot of headers.

He's had 2 solid seasons and that's enough to judge.

He was ok in second half but game was lost really.

May have been able to salvage a draw if Diaz rattles in that chance.

Yeah its not fair on him but he was bad. His race is run for this season.
