Are we really after this player?
I'm not sure, we will be well aware of him, whether he are looking to sign him I have no idea. That isn't really the idea of the thread anyway.

I just typed Ryan Sessegnon Liverpool into google and a load of scummy links like the Star, the Mirror, etc. They claim we are confident of signing hm for £10m.

If you had a Ryan Sessegnon transfer rumour bingo card with every big English club on it you'd have called house by now.

Everton have also been linked.

Liverpool beat Tottenham and Arsenal to sign Fulham's Ryan Sessegnon

Dimitri Kondonis
Yahoo Sport UK 16 Mar 2017, 16:49

Liverpool have won the race to sign 16-year-old wonderkid Ryan Sessegnon, according to sources close to Yahoo.

The left-back, currently plying his trade at Championship club Fulham, has enjoyed an impressive debut season, scoring six goals in all competitions.

Slavisa Jokanovic has used him sparingly throughout the season at Craven Cottage, notching 23 appearances, with many from the bench.

But his attacking play – which drew comparisons with Gareth Bale’s development at Tottenham – has seen a plethora of top-flight clubs interested in his services.

He scored twice against promotion-bound Newcastle at St James’ Park on the weekend, inciting further interest in the England U19s star.

And it seems as though Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has won the race to bring Sessegnon to Anfield, fending off competition from Arsenal, Everton and Spurs.

The twitter page of the guy that wrote this article says he used to work for Get West London (aka Fulham's local paper). I'm starting to think that there might be a speck of truth to this.

It's true to say that if Shankly had told us to invade Poland we'd be queuing up 10 deep all the way from Anfield to the Pier Head.

I didn't say in the middle, I said right midfield.

Those good games he's having at full back are becoming few and far between as the season goes on. Teams are targeting him, there's a massive gap every game down the left side of the defense, which is also partly due to Klavan and Lucas. He also moved up just before the ball fell to Lowton at the end of the game, giving him the space to have a shot.

Not to mention he offers less going forward than Clyne these days. This is a player who got 14 assists last season. If he's still starting regularly at left back next season then something has gone horribly wrong.

Think that was Woodburn that left Lowton alone.

Liverpool consider swoop for Ryan Sessegnon as Klopp weighs up summer options
Liverpool retain an interest in Sessegnon as Jurgen Klopp weighs up his options ahead of the summer transfer window

BY JAMES PEARCE
21:35, 16 MAR 2017

Liverpool retain an interest in Sessegnon as Jurgen Klopp weighs up his options ahead of the summer transfer window.

The London-born England Under-19s international has also attracted attention from Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham among others.

Sessegnon has been in Fulham's youth ranks since the age of nine and was handed his senior debut back in August.

The attacking full-back has gone on to score six goals in 23 appearances for the Cottagers this term.

Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic is hoping that Sessegnon will reject a bumper move to the Premier League and continue his development at Craven Cottage beyond this summer.

“I can only tell him that he will improve if he works and stays with us,” he said. “This is how I will try to convince him to stay with the club.

"I am enjoying the opportunity to work with and use him in my squad. I hope for a long time but in this business you never know what is going to happen."

Klopp is set to be in the market for a left-back this summer having used vice-captain James Milner there for most of this campaign.

Spaniard Alberto Moreno is likely to move on having only made two Premier League starts all season.

wow, what a story, guess they had a few inches to fill :D

Hopefully the team just keep stuff under wraps for a change this summer, and not do the Everton thing of letting the whole world know what they are doing. It's embarrassing.

I’d expect Klopp to buy a left-back this summer, but I’ve not heard anything about interest in Kolasinac or Sessegnon. (James Pearce)

He literally said this 10 hours ago, and then tonight writes an article about us retaining an interest :lmao
