These things put the club in a difficult position. I share Jake's sentiment generally. Anyone with a public platform who spouts ill-informed anti-vaxx nonsense should be held accountable for their actions, but won't be because it would be almost impossible to directly connect them with any individual harm.
In one of Lambert's posts he criticises the idea of giving children vaccinations. Presumably he's opposed to the vaccinations that stop children dying unnecessarily or being extremely ill due to measles, mumbles, rubella, polio, tetanus, diphtheria, hep B, whooping cough, rotavirus etc.
Some idiot in the parents' whatsapp group for my daughter's class started sharing utter wham today from some stupid conspiracy theory, climate denying website whose name I won't dignify from posting here, saying that booster jabs for adults are causing children to get covid. It's utter nonsense. Another of the mum's is a consultant paediatrician at Alder Hey who said it was nonsense and that children have been coming down with covid for months - the current proliferation in schools is due to many obvious reasons; kids aren't vaccinated, they're bad at social distancing, they're not always the best with social hygiene, omicron is very contagious etc. It's not rocket science. But does the mad anti-vaxxer listen? Nope, she keeps spouting shite.
