Hoping that he makes a full recovery.

I'm not far from Beaumont Hospital and if there's anything that I could deliver to him when he's better to lift his spirits then I'll do so.

The one the team had was a different one, wasn't it? Pictured in the opening post in this thread.

Anyway, hopefully the banner in question turns up.

I contacted his GAA club in Ireland and passed on our thoughts and prayers to the family through the club. The club said that at this time there is no further news so that's probably as good as it will get for a while. I hope that he is on the mend but it looks like it's going to be a long slow and difficult process.

We all wish the very best to his family and nobody should go to watch a football match and then suffer such horrific injuries.

Thanks for the update Stockdam.

I read an article around the end of May which suggested he'd gone back to Dublin but his health handn't really improved at that point.

Gonna be a long recovery process but wish him all the best

Yes he was transferred to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin but as you said any improvement is marginal. He obviously suffered a very severe injury and this type of cowardly attack has no place in football or supporting football teams.

This was posted on the LiverpoolFC reddit -

http://electric.ie/sean-cox-recovering-in-beaumont-hospital/

"Séan Cox continues to recover slowly in Beaumont Hospital Dublin. He suffered a severe bleed to the brain following a horrific assault outside Liverpool football stadium ahead of Champions League tie with AC Roma on April 24th.

Séan has regained consciousness and is undergoing dedicated rehabilitation. Recovery is progressing positively but very slowly.

His colleagues in Precision Cables are overwhelmed by the support and good wishes for Séan and his family that they receive on a daily basis.

They would like once again to ask that you keep him in your prayers and that he will continue on his road to recovery."
