Hendo has been really, really, good this year.  No doubt about that.  I'd still like to see Can get a run of games as the #6 though.  I think the guy has a ton of potential and just needs that consistent run of games in his best position to realize that potential.

But every time he plays there in the 1-2 he needs help defensively (which he got from Wijnaldam today) so we're effectively playing a different midfield shape. He just doesn't have Henderson's mobility in that position so I'm not sure what the potential is really if we're playing this system.
It's pretty telling he's never once been picked there over Henderson when both are fit and we're playing this shape

Thank you Liverpool for providing me with some happiness tonight. My arl fella died this week, he wasn't a big football fan but took me to my first game and always was happy for me when the Reds won. Thinking of you mate. Up the fucking reds.

Excellent result and performance, could see what Arsenal tried to do but we didn't let it happen, Can had a very good game wondered a bit first half and ref bottled sending him off but good performance. Mignolet should be out quicker diving at Welbecks feet when he doesn't control it first time. Lallana, Mane Matip and Klavan excellent from them can't fault. Origi did well in the minutes he got excellent ball to find Gini and super finish.

Another strange stat that I read the other day was Klopp has used 20 different combinations with his centre backs in his short time here. Crazy if true. Obviously circumstantial.

This is a brilliant line from Klopp in the press conference. A journalist asked if he was surprised by Wenger leaving Sanchez on the bench.

“I’m 17 years a manager and I’m really not surprised about any line-ups in my life… only if somebody broke their leg last week and then he starts. Then I’d think I’d want to meet the doctor!"

After losing me dad this week, I sat there in the pub tonight utterly subdued all match. Didn't raise an eyebrow at anything that happened because what's the point if he wasn't watching it with me? Then the third goal goes in and I'm top of the fucking world. Out of nowhere, it all wasn't so bad.

That's what football is. That's what it's all about. Thanks, Reds.

Why? Why? Why?

Why?

To be fair, our timing has been out

Switching the game to Burnley when we thought they were shit, they are the 3rd best home team in the PL
Playing Swansea in the early Clements days, they've won 5 in 8 now and are 4th in the form league
Playing Hull just as they upped their game with Silva, no team has had an easy game since then against them
Coming up against last year's PL champions just as they start playing like last season

Aside from that luck, we've been poor as well, except forthe obvious games,

Nevertheless, I'm still optimistic, these things happen, just a few players in the mix with Ings and Grujic and we are not far away

Shout out to Can for his performance. Thought our transition from back to front was a lot quicker when he got on the ball. Nice to be reminded that he can hit 40 yard passes.

Lallana is boss and was terrific seeing our front 3 at their very best.

Man, I love LFC, but this club really takes its toll on me... so good but also so frustrating ... great game, and for me, Matip and Wijnaldum are MoTMs with a shout out to Lallana, the "hidden figure" in our attack!

Massive result, especially with Yernited also dropping points.  Why the hell we only play like this against other top six teams is still a mystery, but just happy with the win and the performance right now.  Mane was a beast throughout and Lallana's part in the third was brilliant.  For all of the understandable doom-mongering and shitty January we're still now very well positioned for top four run-in.

As we saw last year, right after Klopp came in, Can had a long run of games as the #6.  It took him a few games but once he had that run he was one of our best players and a major reason we reached the Europa final.  Hendo has had a great season, probably in the PL team of the year right now, so it's no wonder that he's been the preferred choice in that position when we've played this shape.

Yep we really swam against the current through these last dozen or so games..on top of the injuries and bad scheduling we copped as well.
Still we should have been prepared better tactically and fought harder as a team.

I think that, barring another injury crisis, the side's now refocused and ready to scrap for the rest of the season and we should hopefully finish strongly.

No he didn't have along run of games as the '6' as it is in this system last year - he played as part of a midfield 2 in a totally different system last season (4-2-3-1).
