Tough draw. Leicester will be taking it very seriously, more so that it's us at their ground. Put out a good selection of young lads, mix in a few of the first XI (fatigue levels permitting) and see what happens. Wrap Mané and Firmino up in cotton wool.
Crosby Nick never fails.
Weird that there was absolutely no coverage of the draw on tv or online. Anyway, time to prioritise. Be competitive but don't sacrifice the more pressing concerns, so I'd be annoyed if players like Mane or Firmino were anywhere near this. Will be a good chance for lads like Ben Woodburn and Ryan Kent to test themselves against what will definitely be a strong Leicester team.
I believe the draw was in China last night. So 4am our time. Ridiculous. Still a very tough draw. Be interesting to see if they still have Mahrez by then.
Maybe for another thread but surely it's time to revamp this club! Include the Scottish teams in it and make it a Uk cup?
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.
Again, I repeat my hope that we jib off this stupid competition that is way more hassle than it's worth, especially given the ridiculous fixture list in November and December. Rest is way way more important.Play the U23s. Put some U18's on the bench. Give Danny Ings a game to check if one of his knees falls off. Everybody else takes the night off. Rinse and repeat for every other game in this pointless thing.
Tough draw, we never do well there. Another easy draw for Man utd, another jammy cup win incoming . We need to priortise, the League and Champions League performances are key in keeping and attracting new players.
Just play a mixture of U-23s and fringe players .Solanke Sturridge OrigiMilner Grujic Ejaria TAA/ Clyne Klavan Lovren MorenoKarius
We already have shit in the country, and the game of Liverpool fills life with joy. Thanks
Tough draw... On September 16 we play Burnley at home, then the midweek cup game at Leicester before travelling there again at the weekend. Will be an advantage for us that we play them twice in a few days. Disadvantage that both matches are away
I like the League Cup, been good to us over the years. Also, if you get through a couple of rounds, you're suddenly in the Quarters and might as well give it a good go. Last year with no Europe it made sense to take it seriously which we did.Think depending on Champions League draw and the busy schedule, no-one can have too many complaints if we do play a weakened team (still should hav plenty of experienced squad players to call on though).
Tickets are still relatively easy to get hold of even for aways and sometimes a chance for new grounds. I enjoy it. Loved Burton and Derby last year.
Clyne, Lovren and Moreno are fringe players?
