My favourite podcaster from the stable is Simon Brundish... don't always agree with his points but at least he's capable of independent thought and often insightful, to boot.

Can't make up my mind on SB. Can be a bit acerbic but does seem to bring sports science expertise. Is he professionally associated with the game?

i like SB, doesn't skirt around issues and address things directly

i think he works in sports science for Derby County

Really? Wonder how Derby feel about that. Trying to think how LFC would view someone working with them featuring on another team's pod!

Chicken out of a feather.

There's no direct competition between the clubs so no conflict of interest. Anyhow, we don't know if it's true. Nothing in his bio.

Just curiosity. Not suggesting conflict of interest.

Just goes to show the importance of production. The AI post Arsenal match phone-in pod was really good yesterday, but their first caller came on to berate Mareno. The panel did their best to temper the discussion but the first 20 minutes should have been a breathless appreciation of the exciting spectacle we had just witnessed.

Under Pressure was good

sounds like they've changed up the pressing stats slightly

Dan Rhodes is a good addition too alongside Si Brundish and Gags

Red Room show with Johnathan Northcroft was very interesting on the Chinese investment bid, decent insight provided by John Ritchie & Graeme Kelly, didn't realise they were from a Commercial finance background, added a bit of weight to their opinions

Yep, I enjoyed that also. As a potential investor is discussed more widely its emerging that some Reds are completely against it, some are skeptical and some want it to be completed asap.

it's inevitable that FSG sell at some point now or in the mid to longer term future

you're going to get a varied range of opinions that coincides with a varied range of knowledge on how these things work, where pods like this and fan media can help is breaking down the facts and presenting the potential risks and impacts

will be interesting to see how this all develops

Red Room episodes 21 22 and 23 are the best LFC related podcasts I have ever heard...they are incredibly informative and interesting with a nod to the goings on regarding the club off the pitch.   I like a lot of the Anfield Index content but Red Room is a cut above.

Killer line-up for main pod this week (Paul Tomkins, Dan Kennett join Marco Lopez). Should be good...

The first 50 mins deal with the broad Transfer Price Index. Excellent if you've never come across it before. From then on it gets to the heart of the fewm.

Having just read through this entire thread, I've come to the conclusion that Big Bamber is a whopper and absolutely has some sort of vested interest in The Anfield Index and for that reason, I'm out.

LOL

no idea about that but the pod with Paul Tomkins & Dan Kennett was quite good, I think a lot of fans would gain something from understanding "Tomkins Law"

Under Pressure is pleasurably shouty as well

really interesting Tactics Pod talking about Saachi & his influence on modern day managers including Klopp

Hendrick said something that i've never heard before, regarding clause in players contracts that if they're in the 25 man squad then they have to play 10% of the minutes otherwise they have grounds to void the contract

is this true?

I honestly don't think they watched the game.

Yeah the later show hosted by Kaylon with the Swansea pod host on was at least one trillion times better.

EDIT: The Face-Off pod not the main one. He hosts both this week. Haven't listened to main one yet.

Some of the stuff on AI is very good - it's a bit of a wheat from the chaff situation.

Nina Kauser says 'um' and 'er' enough to get on my tits and Gags Tandon is annoying as fuck, laughing every other sentence.

I think we've been spoilt with Neil Atkinson on The Wrap to be honest.

The pre-match pods where an opposing supporter is a quest are very good.

I think they need to replace the pretty awful post-match phone-in with a post-match reaction show, out within an hour or two, and hosted by their strongest contributors.

I like these pods least because, frankly, I couldn't care less what an opposing supporter thinks. I'm more interested in hearing a red's view on an upcoming game.

I like it because I want to hear about what is currently going on at the opposing club, their tactics, injuries, the probable line-ups etc. Before we face them.

Hey Rawk…ers and Rawk…ites - this Anfield Index Thread has been pretty quiet for the past year so figured we owed you all a bit of an update, we've been pretty busy!

In case you missed them here are couple of quick links to free interview podcasts with Jan Molby and Peter Beardsley:

Beardsley Part 1 - http://bit.ly/2yGNAH7
Beardsley Part 2 - http://bit.ly/2gzWQCi

Molby Part 1 - http://bit.ly/2yiO7Ox
Molby Part 2 - http://bit.ly/2gdpeNx

As others have mentioned in this thread already they have no idea how Gags kept AI available FREE for so long - well the good news is it's still FREE; loads of shows per week just as always.

The next evolution of Anfield Index is AI Pro - some of the shows on AI Pro have been available on the free service all season; weekly podcasts with Jan, Peter, Paul Dalglish and others; and from this week they are now available to AI Pro subscribers only.

You can get more info on AI Pro at https://anfieldindex.com/join

We have loads more in the pipeline, thanks for all the support and kind comments in this thread. We're going to keep pushing the envelope on LFC fan media and blend it together with some of the pros; who are bound to put their own unique slant on things.

Up the Rawk Reds!
