Great assist yesterday for the winner against Chelsea.

followed by a back heel pass in the 6 yard box in stoppage time when he didn't have a clue who was behind him.....sums him up....absolute fuckin joke of a player

Watched the highlights on MOTD.

Literally laughed out loud at him trying to back heel the ball in his own box in the last minute of a game.

Better than awful players with mistakes in them.

No, no he's not a great player mate. I get that you're bitter over him leaving, but he's not even close to great. Which is sort of why he's playing for Crystal Palace.
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

Clubs outside England couldn't match our asking price though. Roma and Napoli both wanted him but wouldn't/couldn't pay the asking price.

Well, that's an improvement on your assertion that nobody else wanted him.

Are the twins/triplets/sextuplets keeping you up again mate?

That wasn't my assertion, I'm sure other clubs wanted to sign him. And here he is, at Crystal Palace. He's a decent CB. I'm sure decent teams tried their luck getting him on loan, or taking a risk to get him on the cheap. But they didn't make a serious effort to sign him. The only club who were serious about signing him were Crystal Palace. And even then they dragged it to the end of the window.

But the good thing is, now he's at a club where he'll play every game and can showcase his immense talents I'm sure we're all confident he'll be at Real Madrid/Barcelona within 18 months or so.

the backheel he tried was outrageously stupid. However, that's something of his doing. He is still a better defender than Lovren who fails to clear simple low crosses that a professional defender should be able to do. Sakho's on the ball ability is among the best for defenders. At times he could start attacks just by fast and accurate passing to our midfielders. Shame that his lack of discipline prevents him from playing for a top team/manager.

Sakho's stupidity leads to chances/goals.

Lovren's inefficiency leads to chances/goals.

Take your pick.

He was really good for Zaha's goal, I don't think that should be ignored.

I don't think the backheel in the box is anything to laugh about or dismiss given Palace's situation though. Great character for sure but does seems like he lacks that extra bit of focus you really want your cornerstone centre-back of the team to have. If his head was fully screwed on he would be a great player and there's no chance Klopp would have said goodbye.

He's better than both Lovren and Matip.

I don't believe that to be true.

He's destined to be the one perennial 'if so and so were here' for our current defensive issues. Just like 'if Sturridge was fit' in 14/15. Or how various injured players have become Zidane while they're out.

If he was that good someone better than rock bottom Crystal Palace would have bought him.

No, it shouldn't, because it nonsense.

Both Napoli and Roma wanted him.

But there's a thing called money in this world, and the Premier League has a lot of it. So much, that relegation fodder like Palace can sign a centre half for 30,000,000.

The highest fee Roma paid this summer was about £12 million. They were looking to balance the books.

The highest Napoli paid was about £18 million (next highest was about £11 million).
