Orange will have "bought" their broadband access from a current provide, they're not actually a broadband provider as such.

I only get about 16mb anyway as the internal wiring in the place is shit and I don't think the external wiring is much better, its a shame as I should be able to get over 20 given how close I am to the exchange.

You're right though its never fast enough!

a lot of business connections will have faster uploads than downloads

of course when you're dealing with 20mbs up and down it's not really that important

Yeah need my ping lower. I am only 0.4 miles from my exchange as per samknows.com. Yet my ping is so high. I am with Orange 8mb. Called BT and they say my line is capable of 18mb so gonna go with a 20mb like O2 when my contract is up, because this ping is terrible.

1.07 upload..
huge difference..some days its 1.5 megs download..and yet they tell me theres nothing wrong with my connection
