Neville’s commentary on the penalty is a fucking disgrace

Made sure he kept the salah diving agenda going
Absolute c*nt, how he could be watching the replay and saying the shit he was is beyond me
Football without fans is nothing.

We've won 18 titles, 5 European Cups, 7 FA Cups, but today must be the greatest victory of all.

Virgil van Dijk won 6/6 defensive aerial duels in the first half vs. Cardiff, twice as many as any other player on the pitch.

Covers that space behind advancing full-backs so well. 👏👏👏

Neville whining like the little bitch he is, about that pen was pure joy to my ears. He knows he wants United to lose on Wednesday but he won't admit it.

C*nt. It was a stonewall pen. Maybe even 2-3 penalties put together. For how many seconds were his arms totally around Salah?

Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum on Sky Sports: "It was warm, they didn't water the pitch but we dominated the game and had big chances before the break.

"We controlled the game, they had a big chance with Sean Morrison but the referee said it would have been a foul on Alisson anyway.

"It is always a relief at this time of the season to score, in our situation we know we have to win. I was really happy."

About time Mo got a pen for being held like that, has happened all season long.

What a team we have. Fucking amazing set of lads.

Professional job, 3 points, another clean sheet, and pressure back on City.

In years gone by, a first half like that would have dented confidence and sowed the seeds of doubt that it just wasn't going to be our day. But this team just keeps going, keeps doing the right things, and makes the breakthrough.

Onwards.
This Liverpool us a different beast.

It's easy the feel uneasy at half time when it's 0-0, but we have to bear in mind that so many of these shithouse clubs dramatically raise their game against us. Although it would be nice too nick the early goal, I think we just have to be patient, let the opposition run themselves into the ground, tire themselves out, then put them to the sword.
The light that burns twice as bright, burns half as long, and you've burned so very, very brightly, Jόrgen.

The fucking commentary. "Liverpool were lucky to have Milner on the pitch for the penalty."  :o How is having a player going off with a concussion lucky? Neville on the penalty was beyond embarrassing.

Gary Neville's contribution during that was unprofessional and disingenuous to the game. Instead of questioning why the fucking big galloot was holding Mo he suggests he gave Mo the chance to go down.
It's too partisan, it's biased and cuntish.

Talking about c*nts - happy Easter Martin Atkinson and fuck off Colin Wanker.

Up the Reds, a superb professional performance.

Never in doubt. Even though we laboured a bit in the first half to put the ball in the back of the net, could always see it coming.
It's weird how I totally relax now when we go 1-0 up, gone are the days of having to get a 2 goal lead.... I'm finally there mentally.

I was watching this on NBSC and they gave the MotM to Matip. Kind of glad he got it but I'm struggling to think why him as it's not like he had to defend much.

Shame about Fabinho but he looked totally fine when he came off, I guess it was more precautionary than anything.

What a massive result that is. Ice cool from the lads unlike me.  Totally was fearing that it was going to be one of those games. What more did mo have to do to get the pen. That was assault more WWE then football dear me. Thanks Milly for slotting away the pen. Balls of steel that lad. All we can do is do our job and hope for the best. How on earth can Neville have the gall to argue that wasn't a penalty.... its was wrestling.... not only are his arms around him and pulling him back, he then moves one arm round his neck to make sure he can't move.... no doubt Danny Murphy will say I don't like to see diving like that. Someone needs to tell them that we are not watching Rugby.

I thought when Lovren put his arm out to hold off Calvert-lewin the consensus in pundit land was that you can't put your hands on an attacker? But its ok to wrestle them to the ground. These pundits are more inconsistent than the bloody refs

Gini! What a man! Thoroughly professional performance from the lads and a testament to how much they want this. So good to see the midfielders chipping in with the goals over the last few matches. Whatever happens this team have shown how great they are.
I’ve plenty links to the clubs playing and backroom staff as many on here know thank you very much. Fair enough, I admire your optimism. But you’re absolute ostriches if you think this squad, even with 2 or 3 new, “cut price” players with potential get us anywhere close

2-0! Another must win game and we got the job done. Very impressive. We owned the ball and they only had the set poeces. But they came close twice. Fortunately we had a bit of luck, but also the quality needed to get the three points. Top of the league!

Liverpool goalscorer James Milner, speaking to Sky Sports: "Obviously I've got confidence in the boys and want them to do well, but it is a bit worse when you're watching from the side.

"I thought we were in control for the majority of the game, you have to stay patient. It's easy to be impatient and start playing the wrong way."

On his 'walking stick' celebration: "Everyone keeps giving me stick about being old!

"We just need to concentrate on our side, all we can do is keep the pressure on by winning games. They (Man City) know they have to be perfect as well. All we can do is win the rest of our games, hopefully it's good enough.

"Both teams have been pretty ruthless and clinical. It's not easy week on week, we've lost one game and are second.

What an assist for TAA, i think that is his tenth on the season, great finish by Gini.

Pitch was awful, Warnock is a fucking football dinosaur and the sooner he is out of football the better the game will be.

@OptaJoe
33 - The top six teams have won all 33 of their Premier League matches versus the current bottom three teams in the table this season. This is a top-flight record; surpassing 30 wins in such games in 1891-92, 1978-79, 1985-86, 2001-02, 2011-12 & 2013-14. Hierarchy.

Posted at 18:0518:05
How many might they need?
Cardiff 0-2 Liverpool

Liverpool have now amassed 88 points in the league this season, their best ever total in a Premier League season; adjusting to three points for a win, they have only earned more in a top-flight campaign in 1978-79 (98) and 1987-88 (90).

Good point via Gini in that quote above.

Allison was clearly impeded on that chance, so good to see the ref communicate that to the players.
