I know it's a different team but it's absolutely crazy this has started a week after the ashes finished. So little time for the organisation as a whole to take stock

The people who need to take action don't need a break after the Ashes. Managing an LO series goes on at a lower level than that which should be taking stock. They should have started taking stock before the Ashes were over.

I was looking up definitions...

A Yorker is obviously someone from Yorkshire, with a Full Toss obviously coming from the home counties

Jason Roy showing that not every ball has to go to the boundary. Took his time and waited for the bowling to get desperate, took advantage in a brilliant way.
We already have shit in the country, and the game of Liverpool fills life with joy. Thanks

England 101/3, Roy just gone for 45. Looks quite a difficult pitch to time it on.

Now then. In a refreshing change England have actually posted a competitive score.

West Indies need 172 to win.

Oooh. Exciting.
Yesterday's best match was the northants u12 girls training game. At least it was competitive.

Discovered too that the ball bounces more so very rare to go lbw. It at least I think he said it was down to the ball.

By one run, mind when they should have been home and dry with 5 overs left.

Best performance by a Banton I’m the Caribbean since Pato and Buju were in their pomp. Sadly out now though for a very good 70 odd but still too much to do from here you’d think with two new men (in every sense) at the crease.

Losing by twenty runs, akin to a 2-0 loss? Not a battering, but you known it'll take something special in the last fifteen mins to turn it around?

He is really good when in his rhythm, but one of those that looks lost when he isn't picking the ball well (as last night showed) .

A decent series this, competitive which is fun and seeing new faces in the England team.

Yeah I was being deliberately harsh I think. Tough to come in on your debut needing 12+ an over from the off. Will see how he does.

I don’t know if this is a full strength Windies side because there’s a few new names in there too but it definitely feels very England A...maybe 4 or 5 of last night’s team at best would probably be classed as first choice (Roy, Rashid, Moeen, Mills, Livingstone maybe?). If the series provides 2 or 3 more who look like they belong at this level then that’s pretty good going.

Spinners have done well again after the powe.play

West indies are an odd one. Powell scores a ton midweek and comes in at no 6 today with only 5 overs left

England didn’t use two overs of spin, Ali and Livingstone. Feel like they surrendered control of the game when they took the spinners out and put the fast back on. WI playing both spinners through here and its working.

Yeah, going to have to go some from here.

England’s bowling in the last 5-6 overs of the innings has again been pretty crap in this series, hasn’t it.  They largely got away with it in the World Cup (until they didn’t!) and it wasn’t great before that.  There’s a definite weakness there.
