What a class act by Shaq. I am getting a Chicago Fire Jersey with his name at the back.

Love this from him/Chicago Fire. A great lad is Shaq.

With all that is wrong with football and how people feel players are no longer as connected to fans, things like this just get you right in the feels.

Great gesture by Chicago Fire and by Shaq - he always seemed like a decent guy and you could tell how much it meant to the guy

Dead right. It’s tempting to focus on the game’s negatives on occasion, but this sort of player/supporter interaction doesn’t get the coverage it deserves.

his career went down so quick, he is only 30. Was it his love for America or no team wanted his services?

Not sure it’s right to see this as the pits of his career to be honest! MLS seems to attract some good players at a younger age these days. And it isn’t a guarantee that they will succeed either, it’s not the walk in the park a lot of fans seem to think it is.

The MLS is not the best league but the money is great if you're a designated player and above all, your chances at taking command of a team and being the centrepiece is very intriguing to many. Not to mention it's probably a bit more fanciful to hang about in the nicer areas of Chicago than in Stoke...

Nice little interview with Shaqiri. Can't believe he's 31, seems to have been around forever.
We have to change from doubter to believer. Now.

Bagged 2 in a crucial game to get Chicago close to the playoffs,

If you're feeling like you want a change near the end of your career then no idea why you'd pick Saudi over MLS, good atmosphere for this game, admittedly with something on the line.

By all accounts, he's really enjoying Chicago and playing for the Fire...
Since haste quite Schorsch, but Liverpool are genuine fight pigs...
