Whyte signs with Arum

I think it was inevitable him and Eddie Hearn would part company after the Joshua rematch went belly up.

Always got the impression that Whyte and Hearn fell out.

So this comes as no shock really.

Crolla dies April 12th
He'll get a battering so hopefully his corner does the right thing and throws in the towel as soon as it gets ugly which will be mid-rounds I reckon. Loma is not a big puncher so it will be even worse to see Crolla getting hit dozens of times.

Golovkin has signed up to fight on Dazn. I presume we'll get the trilogy with Canelo now.

Calzaghe would have baptised him

Calzaghe would've won. But it still doesn't change him being bitter about not getting the fight. I'm sure he believed he could win.

Whyte signs with Arum
Apparently he hasn't left Matchroom but its a similar deal to Fury's where he is signed up to Toprank and ESPN in the states but Matchroom and Sky in the UK?

At least all the decent Middleweights (bar BJ Saunders) are with DAZN now. Hopefully lots of fights can happen now!

Not anytime soon though.

Year or 2 now. Dazn will want to get a load money back from them first.

I'm sure Eddie Hearn said in an interview when commenting on Fury's deal that he wouldn't accept an arrangement like that himself.

Would shock me I have has left matchroom but just signed up to Sky on his own.

Heard him talk on Saturday's boxing and he said he had a great relationship with Sky.

Made up with that, should be a great fight and a brilliant atmosphere at the AT&T Stadium. Think Garcia is a high quality operator but Spence will just be too big and powerful for him.

Should happen more often IMO. Unfortunately, this is a physical mismatch and I think Spence will get a stoppage. However, I believe Garcia is a far better boxer; it's just that the size difference is probably TOO much in this case.

Sounds like Wilder Joshua is close to getting made.

Wilder to sign with DAZN but not with Matchroom. Bit worrying for Eddie that none of the big stars want to sign with Matchroom

I don't think it's acrimonious, he is just training under Ben Davison with Fury and Isaac Lowe

Anyone else think Garcia is a bit overpriced for the weekend?  I think Spence will win just because of the size difference, but before that my instinct was Garcia wins easily.  5-1 for Garcia on points seems generous to me.  Spence is 1-4!

Not possible is it. Hearn has the exclusive rights.

Of course it's possible.

He can deal with Sky himself but Matchroom will cover promote it. See Dereck Chishora who is managed by Haye for example.

Wilder set to turn down $100m DAZN offer.

I don’t understand that at all. He’s not going to earn anywhere near that fighting Brezeale etc on PPV is he? And he gets to potentially become the undisputed heavyweight champion.

Wilder is acting like a bum, turning down deals like this. Didn't he turn down £30 million to fight Joshua at Wembley? Guy clearly wants no smoke.

If he does it's clear who's running. I was getting excited that Wilder could be seeing sense. Talk was Whyte then Joshua which would be 2 great fights . Usyk and potentially Klitschko are on DAZN so it would have meant nearly every heavyweight was on there so big fights would be easy to make.

If Wilder turns this down I don't think we will ever see Joshua Wilder and it's clear who is running.

He turned down a double your money offer to fight Joshua and now a triple or quadruple offer.

I've said it a thousand times.  41 fights and only a 76 year old Ortiz on his CV to show for it.  It's always been obvious who's running.

My father in law (sort of) is a massive boxing fan, who strongly feels Hearn has ruined boxing. As a casual sort of fan myself, I have sympathy with his views, but I can’t quite agree that it’s Hearn who’s putting the blockers up on the HW Unification fight. But then, why am I hearing offers of specific paydays for Wilder? Surely it should be a % deal??

I wrongly said it will be 4. I don't remember Texas being this early before.

No way has Hearn ruined boxing in my opinion. His ego needs reigning in though. He is just a promoter, but the likes of IFL and social media in general make him a personality in his own right. He definitely has an exaggerated idea of his own self importance but he definitely gets fights made.

As for Wilder, I have no words. This guy has a sick daughter and turning down this money is irresponsible. $100m for 3 fights. $20 fcking million to fight Brezeale and you turn that down. Disgrace!

Thought ref did Love a favour to step in with him getting hit on the head repeatedly like that.

Garcia got any chance here? Spence seems just so much bigger.

Can't fault Garcia's heart or effort, he's just getting picked off by the left every time.

Garcia should go back to 135lbs. Quickly
