It certainly was a bad call, but there's no need to go on about it like a spoilt brat.

It’s tiring watching him. Talented but a massive prick.

It’s also sustained abuse to the umpire.
No, jazz. You fear jazz. You fear the lack of rules, the lack of boundaries. Oh look, it's a fence. But, no, it's soft.

I agree.

That's why he has, or will never achieve the things he should have, given his talent.

Yes, he is clearly a very talented player, but he won't win much with an attitude like that. It will be too late by the time he grows up.

This all just feels like an act from Krygios now, just not genuine at all. Its like he knows everyone expects him to be a dick, so he just makes overly sure to be a dick at all times.

I'd have headbutted him by now if I was the umpire. He's trying to bully him.
And if the rain stops, and everything's dry.. she would cry, just so I could drink tears from her eyes.

No way is it an act. I saw him in the flesh for the first time last year and it's crazy how emotional and hard on himself he is after almost every single point which goes wrong for him. This was in a match he battered Robin Haase in btw.

What was also crazy is just how cleanly and powerfully he can hit the ball when he's in the right frame of mind. People have labelled him the Balotelli of tennis but it's actually unfair on his potential ceiling. Balotelli was very talented of course but not extraordinary.

Kyrgios could be. He has very few weakness technically. Monstrous serve, sharp movement for a taller guy, clean and freakishly strong off both wings, especially the forehand, delicate and adept at the net, loves drop shots and using top spin.

It'd be one of the biggest wastes of sporting talent in history if he doesn't go close to winning a Slam in his career.

Nadal needs to come a yard further forward on the Kyrgios serve, just to change things up and see if he can win some more points on it.

How much time did Nadal take to serve on that last point to win the third set?

Kyrgios might be on the autistic spectrum.

Was just thinking that. Wish they’d use him more instead of Henman etc.

Nadal through. Good match, though.

Bullet dodged by Nadal there. I think Kyrgios antics wore himself out in the end, wore Rafa down for a while too.

So they pay all that money for a roof and the commentators are suggesting that they won't use it but will call the match off until tomorrow night? Why pay for a roof then?

Kyrgios needs to get his head right. He could be a top 10 player.

Admitted in his presser that he doesn't play every day and not sure he wants it enough.

Also said he deliberately tried to hit Rafa when he at the net.

Pretty funny that Murray's doubles ranking is higher than his singles. Since the end of the first set Herbert & Murray have looked faultless. They've played some great tennis.

He has form though. See his spat with Lleyton Hewitt over the Davis Cup going back a while. Hewitt made out he (Tomic) threatened his family and everything.
Fair enough, but might this be further evidence of some issues at play? Or is he just a bad bugger?

The thing with Kyrgios is that he seems to want to play the victim, like everyone's against him because he's some kind of maverick and doesn't play by the rules. But the reality is, if you act like a twat all the time and insult people and just keep giving up in your matches, people are going to dislike you and you're going to keep getting punished for stuff.

No doubt McEnroe would've been annoying at times but at least he tried to actually win, and used his anger and frustration to drive him on, Kyrgios just gives up and moans at the umpire. He might be OK on a personal level, but his public persona is not that of a lovable rogue, just an annoying childish idiot. Plus a massive waste of talent.

Met him in real life once, outside of tennis, and he's just as much of a twat there as well.

The grass must be playing slower and keeping lower this year. I know Isner, Anderson and Cilic have all had form/injury issues, but I've never seen them look so lifeless on a grass court against fairly mediocre opposition.

Fognini is still hanging in there too. Seeded 12th but ranked 10th.

I just love Fognini. He's like a nice, handsome Krygios. Grass isn't for him though.

Hurkacz doing well here against Djokovic.

Edit: takes the second set!
