McClaren took Middlesbrough to a Europa League Final

Schteevie Mac is currently coaching in Tel Aviv. The standard of footie is not that good, but it's got to be better than what Palace play and Tel Aviv is rather nice.

Quote
“If you are in the relegation zone, then you are in a relegation battle,” the Liverpool manager said after Charlie Adam’s penalty and Luke Varney’s clipped finish left his side in the bottom three for the first time in 46 years, despite Sotirios Kyrgiakos’s consolation goal.

“I am not going to think too much about relegation with 31 games left to play and I am absolutely convinced Liverpool will not be in the bottom three at the end of the season. Whether we can fulfil our ambition of finishing towards the top is another matter, but when you saw the way we played in the second half I am incredulous anyone can suggest we will finish in the bottom three.”

He's well used to a relegation battle is Roy.

I remember the season after Hodgson, we lost to his West Brom team 1-0 at Anfield. I don't think I've ever hated a result more.

That's when Pepe was firmly in his can't be arsed saving anything mode.

Memories.....

I call it a fucking nightmare. Those quotes are just embarrassing. How this fossil still gets paid in any capacity to do with football is beyond me.
We may sign Salah, but I'll show my arse in the middle of town if we sign one of VVD or Keita. Not gonna happen.

I'd genuinely almost completely forgotten that Roy was our manager.  Perhaps my way of subconsciously ridding my memory of the absolute horror.

Toss up between Trump and Hodgson as to the most inappropriate appointments in history.

He's already got a get of jail card cos Fwank lost the first four as manager. What could he do? He accepts no responbility wherever he goes.u

Palace have seemingly not planned that well this year but I do hope the owl's teams get a dry bumming.

Why cant he do one to china?

Yep.. that's the one ;D What I'm really looking for tho is it as a repeated gif and not a youtube video. Think I'm going to see if I can frame it somehow and put it up on my wall at home. Melissa Reddy managed to find it and tweet it... does anybody know where the original gif lives or is it something one can copy? Can't seem to work out how to do it/find it!

Agree completely with the OP!

It's just astounding he gets the jobs that he does.  What can he possibly put on his CV that entices clubs or countries to appoint him?  Extraordinary.  THey were the worst of days when he was here.  It's such a blight on our history.

Back in those dark, dark days of when he actually managed us, the only thing keeping me sane was the various GIFS, photoshops, etc.

There was one, I think from pre-season when he was giving a team talk to a bemused looking Jay Spearing and others.

Someone had photoshopped the Grampa Simpson "Give me five bees for a quarter" lines on it.

Anyone recall that one?
