I'm just repeating what has been said.

It's likely most of the 20% knew about it, and knew it was a waste of time to buy. Some have chanced it. Or the club have siphoned them off to hospo  :o

What? They would have been sold in the 4+ sale and all gone then.

These 20% are tickets that were bought by 13+ people that didn't complete the fan update and therefore have gone back on sale.

People should stop spreading false information.

Heard loads who had multiple cards had tickets cancelled and accounts closed so home and aways lost

Hopefully but as aways go to season ticket holders and are mostly paper tickets I expect members wont get a look in for years still.

 :lmao
The rough numbers are that about 5000 qualify for the sales. About 1000 of that 5000 didn't go through the Fan Update process.

For Wolves about 60 had bought in the sale but hadn't updated so they didn't get in.

There's about 100 for United in the same boat and as the release says they will be re-sold to the members who qualify.

A few who didn't get in at Wolves have gone back to the Club and their cases are being dealt with on a case by case basis - some of them have gone through the Union. Decent excuses will probably see the Updates completed out of time to allow them in for United.

Great posting info I didn't have at the time and laughing about it. :thumbup

My first point is still valid thou, those tickets that was not bought in the 13+ would have been bought in the 4+ sale.

But the club have mislead about the 20% I assume 20% bought in the sale without completing the fan update then?

It's actually 8,750.

The 7k completing it would be 80%, 7000/0.8 = 8750 (1,750 = 20%)

Also, in that announcement they didn't explicitly state that you need 4+, so expect huge queues at 11am
it does in the second paragraph, unless they’ve added that since you posted (which wouldn’t shock me!)

I reckon before the new season kicks off.... only on the basis we are getting new cards issued out. So I guess they’d want everyone to have the new card. But then there must be over 100,000 members... so that’s a lot of people... some who probably buy a membership and have no intention of buying tickets. I guess they’d still need to complete it too.

No idea  :o

Where did you get that 7k number from? A few weeks ago we were told it was 4,500-5000 members on 13+.

Correct me if I’m wrong but don’t new members have to do the fan update? Maybe this Is where the club have confused us? 5k on 13 and 2k new members means 7k total updates?

That does not at all add up with the tickets left after the 13+ sales... only good availability in U1 & U9 for the 4+ sales and a few more red blocks. Most likely 7000-8000 tickets sold in the first sale.

Thought there would be a refresh and queue starting at 11 like the bulk sales.

But the queue is already open, do you just have to hope you're one of the lucky ones who gets on the site at the right time?

Looks like it. Thought there would be a pre queue like always with an 8.15am sale.

Expecting the site to close about 10:30 personally.. was weird I had over an hour at 10:05 yet now it's shot down and I'm logged in.. shame the session will expire before 11

I think the fact there was a queue before they closed the site indicates there’s a lot of people out there ready for this...

It’s because they announced it as an additional sale, so it’s following the usual format for that rather than the match coming back up after the local sale.

Its cos it was so publicized. Id say a lot of people think there will be a tonne of tickets and that everyone can buy them. Id imagine a few drop backs if you do get in sharpish.

Yeah.  If there's only 60-100 tickets then I'd rather they just dumped them without announcing it.  Give the F5 massive a little bonus.

I know... spent my week stalking the site last week then that was announced Friday... already pissed off over the local sale this morning, got 2 mins on that and they were gone in 90 secs, then the system was being a t**t when they dropped again and wouldn't give me anything.

… i'm trying to cry it in here like haha

I can see why they did it, as it was a result of the fan update, but it absolutely fucked any chance of getting the tickets unless you’re in within a couple of minutes. Whereas you always feel you’ve got a chance when the match comes back up after the local sale if your quick enough because there’s no queue

Unfortunately they aren’t there for the benefit of us in the F5 club, and won’t recognise what they’ve done as a negative for us.

If they did this for every other game they I’d be fine, angry because chance of ticket dramatically decrease on an already tough game

I wouldn’t be fine if they did it for every game, and I hope they won’t be doing it for each game going forward. Is it annoying as fuck, absolutely, but this fan update thing is their big push to start sorting out the whole ticketing system, so I can see why on this occasion they’ve done it, as painful and annoying as it is for us.
