I've had it for a couple of years now. I take claratyn tablets, can buy them from boots but about half price from Wilkinsons so bought a few packets the other week. It always does the trick.
It's wonderful, it's marvellous, it's 3-3

Had it for years. Beconase is the best stuff I've found. You snort this foul tasting and smelling liquid up your nose morning and night throughout the summer months and get very little trouble from the pollen bastards.

Used to be only availible on prescription, but is now availible to buy over the counter.

However, it is NOT a cure - it's prevention - you have to take it every day, sunny or not, low or high pollen, or it won't work.

Take it properly however, and it's excellent.

I've tried Claratyne but it doesnt do anything for me.

Telfast does work for me, but not sure if you guys have it in the UK ?

Actually I will be interested to know if you do as I will be there in August/September.

I used to use Triludan (sp), it was a medicine and the only thing that worked, but it disappeared off the market. Dunno why like, I think I heard somewhere that it had bad side effects, probably explains a few things.

Shite that stuff... Zirtek's the only option (or more specifically, ASDA's 1/4 price, identical active chemical, copy) that comes close to working for me... that and Optivine Antistin eye drops.

Mine started with a fucking vengeance on Monday  :wave

I take Flixonase once a day and start taking it at the end of March.  Keeps me reasonably fine for most days but when the pollen count is high (like the last couple of days) then there is bugger all that works in my experience.  But then again I get it pretty bad in any case.

Allereze used to be great stuff but they have taken the strong stuff off the market.  Like Blurred says, if it doesn't have side effects (makes you drowsy, dehydrated) then it doesn't work.

Really irks me that people witout hayfever really show no compassion or understanding.  They think its just a little sniffle when its much worse than having a cold.

Triludan was taken off the market in the U.K , but apparently still availabe in some Countries abroad. If so, they should start a black market for it over here. The drug barons would earn millions selling their 'gear' to us hayfever sufferers.

Triludan worked for me, but now, no matter what the products claim nothing seems to ease it.  Hayfever is one of the most difficult allergies in the world to deal with, and as rightly pointed out, totally misunderstood by those lucky enough not to get it !

I hate fucking hayfever it does my head in. Hate it when you run out of tissue and they end up falling apart.

Snot on hands = bad

I usually get a prescription from the doctor and get tablets and a beconase nasal spary. Started taking Piriteze once a day and it seems to do the trick.

The old (prescription only) beconase worked for me, but this new over the counter rubbish has as much effect as snorting tap water.

With all the nasal ones though, the trick is to start taking them well in advance and use every day.  Absolutely no point starting taking it during the summer.

Fucking well annoying isnt it??

My missus always says "what are you so bothered about, a bit of sniffing and itchy eyes??...not as bad as period pain"

Fuck off.....ten times worse than period pain so shut your gob!

I used to use Beconase, but it seems to make me sneeze before it starts to work!! tend to use Flixonase now but doesnt seem to work that well.

Nidgemo's got the right idea....you need to get it in your system for a few weeks before..otherwise you are fucked.

I tell you what really fucks me off as well...when Hayfever is getting the better off you and someone says"oooo youre eyes looks sore...are you tired?"

Cue a punch...

My hayfever's been terrible the last couple of days, products that say 'fast action' relief, then do fuck are a load of bollocks and should be taken of the market.

The makers should then be hauled before the courts and done under the Trades Description Act. The company making these rip off tablets should cease trading, and the workforce thrown on the unemployment scrapheap.

The Judge and jury in the case, should be made up entirely of hayfever suffers, who are having a bad day ( bit like myself )

Bad hayfever days make me angry !  Rant over ;D

Cheers mate, all sympathy accepted  ;D

A cure probably does exist, but it would never see the light of day. I mean, it wouldn't do to rob the drug companies that make billions out of peoples misery.

The person who discovers a cure for hayfever ( bit like whoever finds a cheap alternative to petrol ) will probably find themselves wearing concrete wellies  ;D

I've been taking Clarityn for a while but it doesn't do much more than ease the sympoms a bit, now started taking Flixonase as well as Clarityn and that seems to do the trick (you can take both as Flixonase isn't actually an anti-histamine)
